OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro launch in China, you won't like the prices

17 April 2020
Surprisingly (or not), they're much cheaper over there than they are anywhere else.

nothing to complain about. as expected one plus will be 100-150$ cheaper in china and india.. iphone se costs 400$ in usa, but india 550$, no one bothers bcoz each company is trying to secure its base and leadership in respective countries... its time for google to think, does it want to be global player or usa player.. if google contineaus ban on huawei for another 6 months, we will be seeing all operators moving enmass away from google .once decission made will just reduce android to just 10-20%. like how microsoft pulled nokia to death, samsung will die due to android,(main reason will be costlier phones and second will be unable to catch upto huawei os.). its do or die situation for android.. if it want to survive make GMS free.

"Or is OnePlus simply very much aware of how price competitive its home market is, and thus is forced to 'play the game' of cut-throat pricing over there?"

Well I'm mean duh. Look at how base models for most flagship phones start with 256GB and 6GB of ram. Samsung lists their base phones there starting at these amounts whereas in US or Europe they're still stuck on ridiculous 64GB and 4GB of ram.

China is the biggest and most competitive market in the world. Every manufacturer has to ante-up to compete. I expect India pricing which is the biggest market for Oneplus to have similar pricing offerings.

Are they like China/Global versions (Rom) or are they all global
