This goes to show you that the majority of people buying smartphones (not me), are not interested in high refresh rates, top of the line specs, beautiful design, etc.
Majority of people want a good steady phone, with a cheap price tag (not me).
Being that Apple is a master (not me), when it comes to stability in their operating system and long lasting software updates, is fair to say that people will buy this phone for sure (not me).
Very nice played Apple. Very nice.

I believe it might be the same sensor going 3 generations now, with the only improvements coming by way of software optimisations. Doesn’t seem to be doing them any harm.
Also, a reduction of bezels would require a hardware redesign. Doing that would necessitate investment on apples part. Investment they would then seek to recoup by upping the price of the device.
Reusing on older design allows Apple to use higher internal components whilst keeping a low RRP.
What’s with this obsessive desire to eliminate bezels anyway, were they ever that much of a hindrance????

The SE 2020 is just a... morethe $400 price is not competing for the people with the money to buy the price of the iphone 11, it is competing with android with this price range with crappy specs. this has the same price point with pixel 3a. moto phones, oppo, galaxy A.... but with top of the line processor, not mid range android with mid range snapdragon...

I'm not even an Apple fan but this will sell really well. $400 is not that much but with promotion and carrier deals plus buying on contract, lots of people will buy this for their kids and family. Don't know why people couldn't see this and instead bashing it just because of screen, bezels and whatever.

Ok if this phone is $399US why is it $599 in Canada? The exchange makes no sense should be $499 with the dollar exchange. Apple surging the price up outside of US as usual.

I believe they will just recycle old camera hardware from the iPhone 8, but integrate it with a better chipset. Specs and design like this just doesn't cut through 2020. There should be a way of reducing the upper bezel size.

Though this isn't a indication of much, it's already sold out on Redpocket. They have a 299.00 deal. That is prepaid for 3,6 or 12 months. Not pay as you go like tracfone. I know people that still have the iphone 8 and are more than happy with it. Some prefer the bezels because it is easier to text - something I had trouble understanding because like most of you, I was hung up on no bezels. I've come to realize the majority of average phone buyers don't argue about specs and they don't frequent websites like this or tech tubers to examine what is going on every second in the mobile world. They are buying on contract for their entire family. They like the ease of communicating without any cross-platform issues. For many people, this will be a great option because anything else from apple is $20+ extra on their bill. Those are reasons iphone sells well. That is why this will sell well.

The 1821 mah battery absolutely kills this device. Everything else is ok for the price, except the battery. This surely means they didn't bother changing anything. They only added the A13 chipset, 1 extra gb of ram and that was it.
