Anonymous, 23 May 2012Why he has to be patience??? i mean did Google surprise all... moreBut you have to understand that each manufacturer configure the Android updates with their own platform (HTC Sense, Samsung Bada etc). Which is why the unlocked/unbranded handsets get the updates first. Then you have to look at the networks who add their own bloatware. For instance T-Mobile usually update HTC handsets at least 2 months after most other service providers.

Apple only make 1 phone brand and so updates are usually quicker to receive. But when you look at the hardware and software of Apple IOS and Android OS phones, in my personal opinion no iPhone is worth buying if you have a high-end Android phone. I waited 7 months for my HTC Sensation to receive ICS. I only got the update a day before upgrading to the ONE X. So I say if you take everything into consideration, everyone should be patient for updates.

Chewy, 23 May 2012People like you need to learn some patience! You've waited ... moreNot after 30 seconds, but after six months I think I'd call a taxi :)
Seriously, after six months they remember to release only update roadmap. It wouldn't surprise me if Jellybean comes before these ICS updates. Pure android users, always waiting... and not to mention number of devices that are capable of running ICS but manufacturer simply doesn't want to update it so you must buy a new device.

Funny how even HTC updates most of their phones, including old ones, to ICS, while Samsung, that greedy corporation, doesn't want to update their devices to ICS simply because adopting crapwiz would require a little extra effort (I'd rather have crapwiz-free ICS on samsung galaxy wonder or ace 2 rather than no-ICS touchwiz, I don't have any sympathy for touchwiz as I don't see Anything it brings over standard droid).

You've waited ... moreWhy he has to be patience??? i mean did Google surprise all the companies when tey announce 4.0 ICS its depend on HTC to act quick to support their phones if the process is slow then its not the consumers fault... Galaxy Nexus released back in November the 1st 4ICS phone so do we have to wait 7 months to get the update? WHY? companies not being reasonable and they have to act quicker

This time HTC has released a schedule and I believe it will be great if they can stick to it. I still remember checking for an update everyday on my Desire S when last time they declared to update Sense from 2.1 to 3.0. When the update came it was worth all the wait, the phone looked like a totally different device. Lets hope this update also brings us the same joy.

Considering the original Desire has more RAM than the Desire C and a faster processor, plus the fact that it is almost on par with the HTC ONE V, maybe HTC should consider updating the original Desire as well. That would be a treat!!

You've waited a long time for a software update that doesn't make a massive difference to your handset, so you move to an even more expensive piece of crap? GG how's real life working out for you? I bet if a bus is 30 seconds late, you'll ring a taxi.
