AnonD-18435, 24 May 2012Ok, it does handle a lot of pixels/s but what about quality... moreIt was actually always a rip off. People just did not know about a lot of the phones that could do so much more even then.

Anonymous, 24 May 2012in case you have been living under a rock for the last coup... moreNokia may not be making Droid devices or using the fastest SoC's right now, but they still make quality devices and innovate on designs nicely still. I don't think they are out of the game yet. They still deserve great respect. More than Apple ever will unless they finally invent something and do something with the Iphone. HTC is ok, but they don't put forth the effort they should. Samsung is definitely a top dog right now. Sony is catching up in the internals a bit more now and I think their phone quality was always better then the rest of their electronics.

Nekko, 23 May 2012"As for the 4K2K video, it's a nice dream but we don't... morein case you have been living under a rock for the last couple of years, Nokia is no longer the standard for mobile phones. they have been stuck in Symbian while other manufacturers have been innovating. so there's no need to keep up with Nokia mate. it's a game between Samsung, Apple and HTC now. Nokia is just sitting in the bleachers watching the big boys do their stuff.

Ok, it does handle a lot of pixels/s but what about quality, sensibility. I mean, the 4s camera is not like a great example of a good camera. It actually sucks. The 2 years old $300 dollars Nokia N8 have better pictures and video. I personally think that the iphone at the beguining was good, but now days it is just a rip off

This chip does 4x larger vids than the chip on the pure view so i guess you could say that is inventing lol.

Shame really as they were market leaders for so long and when symbian first came about they blew me away, just goes to show what happens when you innovate technology and don't bother updating it for x amount of years lol.

"As for the 4K2K video, it's a nice dream but we don't think we'll see it in a phone soon - processing four times as many pixels as FullHD (especially at 60fps) is too much burden even for the current smartphone chipsets."

....and Nokia 808 Pureview somehow manages 41 MP sensor. Sheeesh. Other companies(Apple,Samsung,HTC,Sony) are so slow. They should start inventin or else failing to keep up with Nokia will spell doom for them

AnonD-50590, 23 May 2012Actually it is true. x=1920, y=1080. fullHD is x*y=xy. 4k2k... moremakes sense ! in simple terms four full HD screens means four times the Full HD resolution.

This isn't even equal to N8's sensor, leave alone 808. It will have a small space consumption though.

And GSMArena staff, we can see it in mobiles I think, despite 4K2K/ 2160p support. Only that, the mobile actually having this camera, might do 1080p with the same sensor, isn't it possible?

PureView Technology is way more complex. It handles more than 1 billion pixels a second while recording. (38 milion actual pixels per sensor x 30 FPS )
