Osama, 23 May 2012But pureview has much more pixels so overall it has much mo... morePureview pixel pitch is actually bigger than this if I'm not mistaken .... all due to the fact that it has a massive sensor. Again, if I'm not mistaken, at pixel level, Pureview performance looks similar to the one of a Canon Powershot SX220/SX230.
In theory, at wide angle, Pureview can deliver images with quality that rivals Nikon 1 system.

This Omnivision sensor looks blazing fast, though I rather have my little mirror-less camera if you don't mind. Though it is always good to see innovation on these small sensors.

kodn, 23 May 2012What are you going to do with a 3840 x 2160 video at 30fps?... moreAlways same questions... let's get back 3 years ago and you asking us "What are you doing with 720p on your phone ? It won't fit your 8gb microsd".

They are (or haven't they already?) certifying h265 codec for that (same quality i ve read for twice or so compression).
Most of all new 2012 A/V amplifiers support 4K upscaling and passthrough. Only TV's are slacking atm but it's also due to lack of broadcasting/content as you know..
I can't wait to shoot stuff in that resolution, i (and my friends too) was pretty satisfied with 1080p from my SGS2 shooting an island from airplane..

I prefer mobile camera that can record in high speed, perhaps 200 fps or more.
want to record fast paced events and played slow motioned later with crisp quality.
