Additionally, and aside from the CPU/GPU superiority of the A13, if you want something that easily trumps this budget iPhone, here you go:

And if a long update cycle is your argument, Sony and OnePlus have got you covered.
Their official policy sticks to 2 years/3 years, but their actual update cycle is 3+ years for major updates.

At the end of the day, this wasn't meant to compete with Android flagships. The only flagship part is its SoC.
But to be fair, it's a big move from Apple, which will hopefully push the prices back down for smartphones in general.

[deleted post]Why it is garbage?? I see it lacks 3.5mm jack, a minimum 2500mah battery battery could have been better and it has large bezels. Apart from these 3 shortcomings i don't see any issues with this phone. May be they are asking 400$. But considering BOM charges & the duration of the OS support it gets from Apple, i think price can be justified. May be overpriced by 50$.
I'm Not an apple fan though. Never owned it & used it.

The one and only test that this rumor began, was one test that gave 5% less performance to the regular Iphone 11! Only. one. test....
If you take into consideration the 1GB less Ram (which means 25% less bandwidth) in comparison to the normal iPhone 11 (3 vs 4GB), the score was expected to be slightly bit lower.
If you search for Benchmarks for the last SD855 SoCs from the last year, you will see way bigger fluctuations (even up to 10%) between smartphones with SD855. Even, if devices where built by the same manufacturer.

Some people were saying it has the XR's camera, well now they know it's the same camera as is in the iPhone 8 and it's the A13 post-processing that makes the photos look better. Apple basically swapped in a new processor like people routinely swap out processors in intel and AMD motherboards.
