Nokia confirms working on multiple PureView phones

These phones will have high resolution sensors and Carl Zeiss optics in a slimmer form-factor.

I don't care
- how many cores
- how bigger memory (16GB is fine for now, for complete gallery I have computer for that)
- even what the display resolution is

As long as it
- feels good in my eyes and hand
- takes photo like PureView
- hardware resource handles the OS just fine (like WP7, WP8 might be better, presumably)
- NOT OVERPRICED
that would be my ideal phone. Keep 'em coming Nokia. None other promised that.

    And buddy, after readin your post, I got to know one thing for sure that you're out here just to abuse Android to the fullest.. and that with your baseless points..

    Android has one of the most lucid UI and you say that menu sucks??? That menu is so user-friendly that even people usin Android for the first time can have easy time... No hassles at all..
    And you even comment about its Widgets! OMG! Android has the most beautiful and well designed Widgets.. c'mon man, you gotta use it properly before commentin out rubbish here..

    I wonder what apps have you used?? and if you feel they waste your space then better put your brain on thought (if you've one!) before downloadin one...

    And you need to keep 1 thing in your mind that SAMSUNG and HTC are not only the ones who use Android OS.. There is Sony (who have made great customizations), Motorola, LG and a lot others buddy..
    And am using Sony Xperia S.. which do not have lag issued as stated by you.. And yeah, it is dual core working in an awesome manner...

    Android is certainly one of the great OS ever built... It's upto these companies that how they customize and how efficiently they use it...

            Android sucks and is the crappiest OS made. I've tried it and it is just not good at all.
            The Menu's a crap.
            The Widgets are total garbage
            The Stock Clock sucks
            The Apps are a total waste of space
            The Fragmentation is just disastrous
            2.3 was crap
            4.0 is garbage beyond belief
            The Bugs and glitches are constant and Google seems to not even care. Poor G Nexus owners.
            Samsung is the worst company to date.
            HTC is taking off the SD Card slots
            Lagggg is a Total issue
            Even with Dual Core, the phones lag
            HTC's Weather is the only good thing about Android
            Android is total Frustration and is enough to drive a person MAD!!! It is beyond customization that makes it this bad. The OS as a whole is just complete crap. I can't wait until Android gets better because it has alot of work to do. It is complete garbage and I'll never waste my time on it again. I need a Device that's going to work for me. Android just doesn't have it. (For those who have read this far, this is all one big joke and this is just a test to see who actually reads posts and articles completely because judging by some responses here, not many do). If you have read all of this, type Watermelon as your reply. Yes Android is just complete garbage and I just despise the OS. The 5 Nexus phones better be impressive or it's over for Android.

              1) Why Nokia could not produce a TABLET for Symbian till date?
              Ans: Well its their(nokia) wish if they find a need to produce tablet they will but i think nokia didn't find any reason to produce that because from earlier times nokia smartphones(symbian) performed every task of a tablet so they might have found no interest in making tablets as nokians are highly concerned about making userfriendly devices and they dont want to waste time in making tablets... and nokia is not like other companies who are behind making money.... ex is Nokia 808 PureView "A 41MP monster smartphone priced at whooping INR 32k" Now tell me buddy can any other company dare to put 41mp with high camera capabilites??? Well certainly not because everyones behind putting more and more cores and certainly they have failed to see the more imp use of smartphones.....i.e capturing the most beautiful moments of your life, surfing net,having offline navigations(because there are so many places in the world where there is no network)and the most important is HIGH QUALITY RECEPTION...! Can you mention any tablet with this capability?? Atleast a 12mp cam?? now let me come back to the point....

              And there is something you need to know about samsung's pc suite the so talked about, the one and only "KIES"
              there is only one sentence that i can say about this "No man can ever try to make a pc suite worse than this"..... It blew my mind in every features i tried in it and i am really sorry to say this cuz i also have samsung galaxy 3 and galaxy S (used for sometime)which makes me wanting a good pc suite and I will clear you that I am not against ANDROID I love it but the manufacturers are certainly not using the full potential of it except for sony and HTC..... And my dad has Nokia N8 which I think is the real smartphone because it does all the work that is done by Sony xperia S (Of my sis) except for large quantity of apps(mostly unneeded ones) that arent available for symbian.... but i can compensate it with extraordinary camera with true HD recording and one more thing there is nothing like Nokia PC suite in the world.... Android market has 4.5 lakh apps but whats the use of it if you cant download via pc??? Yes by using nokia suite you can directly download apps to your mobile connected to the pc.... In addition to that there is nothing like Ovi maps which gives you OFFLINE support...

                Android as such is more of an expandable o/s by nature. Signal strength depends on modem software used and couple of other software factors too. - this is just for info, no intention to defend my statement. Coming to your point, i have used Galaxy S in all possilbe 'trouble some signal areas' and it perfomed equally like Nokia. honeslty, i have checked your post while i was in a lift with very weak signal.

                If Tizen is joke to you, so be it. any software in early stages have nothing more to expect than to scale up to the competition and perform well. btw, tizen is the same platform of meego variant which Nokia collaborated earlier with Intel. So the expectations are a bit high.

                Rectangular brick?? I've said earlier and shall repeat again when you talk about a worthy opponent, be informed and have some respect which earns respect to self too. Please search Gsm to find the avid designs of Samsung from yester years. moreover, i guess touch screens are bound to be rectangular (else wth qwerty).

                Applying your logic, since there was no availability of proper SAMRTPHONE o/s Nokia was on top. And once the competition flared up, rapid and unrecoverable downfall.

                the xxx$ was not sarcasm, its the way business runs.Any legal investor is welcomed in business, especially if thats from a worlds top company.i dont find any thing wrong in Nokia accepting the offer. its you who got it wrong.

                  this post is old and have 227 comments, and still counting. this is nokia. in the last 20 monts i owned: nokia n8, iphone 4, sgs2,nokia n9, htc one x and now iphone 4s. i am not a nokia fan. i owned sony ericsson, motorola, even a shitty huawei 8850 vision. but i swear i love windows and lumia, but at this moment lumia's camera is very bad and i am waiting a lumia with much better camera, no matter how many cores or memory, i do not care.

                              May be that's true but still the reception is far from good. It was just yesterday I used a Samsung Galaxy Y and call quality was below par. Voice was totally deteriorated and broken. Don't know for the high end ones though.

                              That's a complete joke for me. They are so far unable to design a proper UI for their Android handsets and you are talking about code development. I can easily smash my Nokia 2700 on the wall and use it again without any problems.

                              Because when you claim to be the largest cell phone manufacturer of the world you should make cell phones for every class of users or you should admit that we only excel in manufacturing handsets in which we can put Android. It's as simple as that.

The only reason behind the deal with MS was they were letting Nokia to collaborate in code development from which Google refused. If Nokia were running after the money then they would have chosen the easier path by accepting Android as it was. And Samsung would have never been on the scene.

                              Whenever Nokia and Samsung had the same resources, Nokia blew Samsung out of the water. Still the example of Windows phone is in front of us.

                              It's Android's success what we see today mate, not Samsung's.

                              And yes even if you take away the WP and Symbian from Nokia they still have the mighty Meego. :) Nokia ruled the world with Symbian, could have ruled the world with MeeGo but they are now disturbing the waves with WP. Meltemi is under progress and at the end of year even the basic users will be multi tasking. That is the commitment and passion of using different resources and inputs to provide every class and type of consumer with an awesome user experience.

                              Samsung DEPENDS on ANDROID! That's the truth!

                                WP? You can call, text and change the collor of the square things in the menu. My 7 year old Nokia 6500s can do that... You can find it like...for free now. Android is a whole new universe. It`s flexible.

                                  Symbian Belle is as fluidic as android/iOS so no argument here.

                                  Let's compare app support for android/iOS and symbian.
                                  The only categories that the appstore/googleplay outnumber symbian is games. Functional application such as connectivity, seamless integration with other devices, online services etc. is the same for android and symbian except for iOS which is too limited. So those people who said android/iOS have more apps(games) than symbian are kids who just want to play games.

                                  Community support is not much different between symbian/android/iOS they all have their contributors and cults and followers.

                                  Continuous upgrade? Really? Do iPhone 3G get iOS5? Do galaxy S get ICS? "Oh I'm going to buy this phone because next year they will upgrade its firmware to xxxx." DUH! People don't buy phones because of their update. People need phones that work. And symbian phones work just as good as android/iOS

                                  If the giant Nokia concentrate all its effort towards symbian then it has all the chance to break the domination of android even topple it.

                                  Windows Phone are going to fail as it lack the complexity needed to become a flagship. All wp7 phones are feature phones, mid range with limitations akin to iOS but exudes nothing like iOS's charm and stature that hypnotise the world.
