And Europe has a good number of market share of CHINESE handset as well. Huawei is also a Chinese brand. They have a good number users of OnePlus and Xiaomi as well.. So you're seeing isn't a facts for whole Europe. Even not for your area at least..

I mostly see iphone or Samsung around me, sometime Huawei. so those craps are thought to be gaining market share but still not up to recognizable level.
    anyway USA steals data too but I would prefer murica over data hiding, pandemic spreading, brainwashing spies.

I don't know where did you see that many people prefer Apple.. I assume you never used many laptops than Apple.. Macbook display won't be placed in even top 20 laptop display.. Let alone being the best..
      OSX is only good for development for Apple based softwares for iOS or OSX. Or somewhat for web development.. The rest of the world work with Linus or Windows.. Most of universities prefer windows for java. About 90% of PC users in world use Windows, so it's obvious to develop windows based games and softwares from Windows. So they use Windows.. Even for C++ or C# windows is the best option!
      Now android also damn fluent and same way featured.. Ie. Oxygen os, stock os or new OneUI..
      I got pc from 2007 using core 2 duo.. Has got android from 2017, still gets security updates and UI updates as well..
      Apple was among top five in last two decades for technical vulnerabilities and flaws.. So secured? No exactly.. Even yesterday reported that about more than 500 million iPhones users in danger..
      If you talk about Chinese brands I would say the same trend should be goes for USA. They are not less spy than China, who is associated by Israel..
      Kids don't own a house or car buy themselves. So will be obviously showing iPhone who got one.. Even girls as well..

        ThatÂ’s not true at all. Lot of people want smaller phones, problem is that OEMs hardly make them anymore. Users have already said how freshing it feels using smaller very light compact phone now after those 2 hand phones.

Good luck making use of it when the microscopic battery capacity of this iPhone SE 2020 will be UNBEARABLE after just a year. FACT: Lithium ion/lithium polymer batteries lose EFFECTIVE capacity with time even under regular use. The LOWER the battery capacity, the more ACCELERATED the wear and tear and the shorter the battery back up. Apple will then have to SLOW this iphone down much earlier to avoid sporadic shutdowns from the worn battery (remember: it's got the FASTEST bionic processor in the entire universe). That, or Apple will offer battery replacement that will cost so much, it will instead sell the user a brand new iPhone S(ocial climber) E(dition), model 2021.

So is a small, low quality screen with huge bezels where immersive displays have been the norm for years. Add the single camera setup with RECYCLED camera sensor from several years ago when multiple camera setups with larger, higher megapixel sensors are the norm even in midrange phones, and you have an iphone that costs much more than midrange Android phones that offer BETTER specs AND REAL WORLD functionality for a truly SMART, smartphone experience. So no, I don't LIVE in a tech bubble. I'm just being practical and reasonable like any smart, SMARTPHONE user.

              There is absolutely ZERO motivation and logical reason to buy this other than that Apple logo. If buyers of this phone were only true to themselves and their motivations that they are/were buying this primarily to have a new smartphone that has an Apple logo, then I would perfectly accept that as a valid human/social reason (the need to be identified with the more affluent members of society). Just because it has the latest bionic processor doesn't make it 'new' technology when all that power is hampered and imprisoned in an outdated, recycled and limited/crippled body. Sort of like putting a Ducati 1099cc engine in a small scooter type motorcycle.

                People who will buy this the screen looks great, no matter how outdated you think it is. The camera is also excellent and people going to be very happy with the photos it makes. Battery life also won’t be any problem, this is no phone for heavy users. This is mostly phone for regular users who most people in the world are.

                Tech people really need to come out of this tech bubble where they are living.

                  EXACTLY. Those who will buy it will do so because it's the CHEAPEST smartphone that has an Apple logo.

                  Never mind if it has absolutely HORRENDOUS battery life and LOW quality, OUTDATED screen, camera and design, not to mention using a suffocating, jurassic operating system imprisoned in a walled garden.

                        Same said about iPhone 11, itÂ’s been by far best selling smartphone in the world since launch.

                        Do you seriously think masses cares stuff like that? Netflix will look very good on this phone for most of the buyers, just like it looks with iPhone 11.

                        Also this is very good phone for casual gaming and even more demanding games, games will run very well with this and all the upcoming ones too, beauty of iOS, so good optimization.

                          You do understand that you get better hardware for better connectivity in the SE compared to IP8? A device trying to connect better to the network will use slightly more battery, isn't it?

                            My reasoning and choice aligns with your survey. I am also choosing this one as the market is not having small powerful decent phones. This one is after a long time. I also order 128GB taking into consideration the coming years.

                                Targeting the young market seems to be off tho, i think because the young market uses their phone a lot for gaming, and this phone isnt designed for that. A lot of the young and not so young people also uses their phone to consume media, oh wait this phone isnt even using full hd. I bet thousands (or millions) of buyers are also looking forward to using this phone to watch netflix.

                                Android users has so many options in this price range, why would they buy SE2020 - just to name a few - samsung a71 about $380, a51 about $300, xiaomi note 10 about $380, even the s10e is priced at 400$ now.

                                The only reason i can think of for android users switching to this device is so they can finally brag that they are part of the apple ecosystem. After alll brand Apple is still Apple, irrgardless of whatever they put out there.

This is phone for masses, lot of people doesn’t have Android phone because of Android, it was just only choice because iPhones were too expensive, this is answer for that. Time will tell how much this will change market.

                                  This will make iPhone lot more reachable for younger audience who have no choice than buy Android.

                                    I think thats also the reason why samsung and all the other android manufacturers abandoned this form factor- because it wasnt selling enough. For apple users, maybe thats a different scenario. And i also agree, the only people i think that will buy the SE2020 are existing apple users. Thats why i also am disappointed with apple for not thinking that apple users deserve new and better things.

                                    Is this an industry-shakign phone like some articles and youtube reviewers are saying? Hell no! Will other companies try and produce smaller devices again, maybe.

                                      Yes i agree with you it will definitely sell a lot, tens of millions maybe, but to whom??? It will sell mostly to people who are already iphone users. I dont see this device converting Android users.

                                      I know the numbers maybe different in the US, but here in the other side of the world, in our tiny office of 50 people for example, only about 5 people are using iphone, and of that 5, the one who is most likely to buy the iphone se 2020 is just 1, and she is still using an iphone 5s (and she also uses a bigger android phone). Asked if she knows the iphone se2020 exists, she said she doesnt know and is not planning to buy a new one anytime soon.

                                        Anyway, apart from S10e and Apple's own 11 pro, there aren't many compact smartphones.
                                        Yes the design old, too old in fact, but SE replaced 8 which had same design. People considering to buy 8 or upgrading from 7/6s/6 will flock to this device.
                                        I don't think we'll see many converts who suddenly want a smaller device after using any handset (Apple/Android) from last two years.
