i believe one should wait till nokia releases an improved version with a better battery, though they say that fp2 lessens power consumption for some extend,,,

Totally good, but I think the Xenon flash on N82 is better :) furthermore it's a question for me that why nokia don't collect all good features in one...of course possible!
anyway I prefer N82 and I'm looking forward to new phones of Nseries..

i think the design is great, the only reason why i didnt get the n95 was because of its design, its too plastic, too much of a toy and the metal accents on the front wouldve looked good on a barbie. now with the 96, the n81 kinda looks, they rock. solid, professional and serious.

I can see some drawbacks with the phone:
*sensor size - 5.2mm? it's 0.4mm less than N82/N95's camera, yet it houses a 5million pixels :-? i remember K850 has a focal length of 5.16mm!
*2 LED Flash - but anyway its not an N82 successor :P
*Battery - nokia wants to revive it's major battery disaster issue with N95-1 lol
*looks - N81 looks cheap, N95 8gb perfectly justifies it's price, but this thing rips-off N81's look. in other words ugly and unreliable.
Nokia, is this the right track?

If this phone have built in xenon flash, I think N82 fans will be disappointed.
Nokia will be lose some consumer on N82 production.

John, put the pipe down. The ONE thing I REALLY wanted in this phone is a F*$#ING XENON FLASH. For the love of mike could someone explain to me why it's so hard to just add a decent flash in a 5mp camera-phone!? I don't care about the extra memory or slight improvements, this phone lacked ONE thing and they JUST IGNORED IT.

@ john, where are you getting your information from?? Neither the N95 nor N96 claims to have xenon flash (the n96 has dual LED flash), and both of there phones have WiFi. no significant difference in either of these two departments.
