Bring P40Pro+ sooner please Huawei! Can't wait first big camera performance reviews of it! :)

I don't expect Huawei to make it a better version of auto mode through the software update either, but probably with the upcoming Kirin 1020 they will solve the issue on Mate 40 Pro.

As for the new 50MP mode, I wholeheartedly agree with your opinion. I wish my P30 had such a mode (View 20 had it, so why not), but maybe I'm asking too much from the first generation product that packs a RYYB sensor lol.

And wow, that AI 50mp results really outstanding! But as always, its best only for static scene. I found it useful mostly on landscape.

Apparently this update brings zoom in preview screen during long range zoom, enhanced AI Instant Passerby Removal and better clarity and more realistic colors to the image.

50MP AI Clarity mode on .121 update looks very impressive, though. It appears to be using the similar image processing as when using digital zoom (AI RAW + super resolution stacking) but does it on the entire frame of the image instead of the cropped portion, so the resolution of the photo is effectively quadrupled.
This post shows how much improvement it can make, check it out:

Night Mode & low light details has been fixed in this update. Way better quality now. Bunch of users approve it on XDA.

Looks like its the firmware update that DxO been use for its testing.

Can this Huawei P40 with this camera help me after all this Chinese pandemic? I really need a cell phone equipped with Google apps to get me around and help me through all of this chaos...

This phone's camera is a beast, all it needed is a small software update because that big sensor allows too much light in day light photos.
