Anonymous, 06 May 2020Only fools will buy Low end SD665 at 385 dollars price. Since when SD6xx series become low end that fast? SD6xx series is and always a (normal) mid-ranger chipset lineup, not low-end even entry-level just because S7xx was a much more sophisticated chipset than S6xx. S7xx was meant to be premium mid-ranger, which's higher than normal mid-ranger S6xx.
If it was low-end, SD6xx would have received Kryo custom ARM-based CPU much later, maybe in 2018 or 2019 rather than 2017 (when S660 was launched with the first S600 series with Kryo custom chipset and it was released in 2017). Your statement is like saying McLaren 720S is now a low-end supercar just because McLaren released the 765LT a while ago when it's not. :v.

6.3 - 6.4 inch screen 1080x2340 Resolution 19:5:9 Aspect Ratio without any notch or punchole.. Snapdragon 720/730G processors and I'll definitely buy my first Sony phone.

Anonymous, 06 May 2020The Night Mode is actually very impressive coming from Sony... moreYeah, I thought so too. Great detail, minimum noise.
And it doesnt even use stacking, but AI of the camera, meaning only preset manual cam parameters.

The Night Mode is actually very impressive coming from Sony, especially from just a midranger. A lot of the details still look sharp even with it on and dynamic range seems pretty wide, most Chinese companies and even Samsung can't really get that look with their Night Modes. If the Night Mode on the Xperia 10 II is this good I wonder how much better the Xperia 1 II will be.

Ultra wide isn't a good as the others, but that's expected.
Pretty surprised by the results though, they look good, especially the wide ones. And the Night mode looks decent, no "night to day conversion".
So far it looks to be a good mid ranger, wouldn't mind buying it.

Ajay11, 06 May 2020Its not about clock speed
Consider the architecture
SD665... moreNo clock speeds is how fast it can perform an operation, basically the definition of how many executions it can do.
Architecture is effects the power consumption and also optimised execution order. As it's not a complete overhaul of the execution order, the cycles take basically the same time - minimal differences.

Exyvia, 06 May 2020SD630 is clocked exactly the same speed as the 730, with 4 ... moreIts not about clock speed
Consider the architecture
SD665 is made on 11nm
whereas SD720, 730 are on 8nm nodes.
This will make a heck lot of difference in the performance.

I prefer the Mi Note 10 at that price. But i'll wait for Mi Note 11 if at that price nothing more interesting is released by Asus, Meizu or Lenovo.
