I agree the fact that Chinese brands are overpriced nowadays, due to pandemic or something else. Oppo just released a phone for 900 EUR, wtf, while Xiaomi is pricing its budget brand POCO 600 EUR.

In the current circumstances, nobody would invest in a phone, and if they do, it won't be these overpriced Chinese brands, lacking brand history, loyal customers and trust.

I realize many if not most phones are produced in China, but nonetheless i find greed will kill their business models. They disrupted the market, but now they want to make up for the lost money.
I think they dont understand that in order to demand that kind of prices, you have to be realiable for years and have a tradition of delivering across the board. Chinese vendors tend to not do that and will not be able to do that for many years to come.

mike777, 08 May 2020I find it very interesting that during or after the pandemi... moreAdd LG they also overpriced the Velvet. LG and Sony will continue with higher prices and also HMD - Nokia overpricing whatever they release. That doesn't changed.

So each one can buy what they consider more fair and the best value for himself despite where the phone comes. Remember that Apple manufacture their phones in China too. I don't have problems with chinese phones. I own some but what i'm not going to do is buy overpriced ones despite the brand. I don't care if the brand is american, european, chineses or from the moon... What matters is what they offer, what support i get and, of course, one of the most important things, often the most the price and value/price ratio.

I find it very interesting that during or after the pandemic all chinese manufacturers drastically increased priced. Look at Oneplus, Xiaomi, now even Meizu. On the other hand, other manufacturers lowered the prices (Apple, Samsung, even Google with the new Pixels)
I use F1, but this is the last chinese phone for me.
The magic is gone. Especially in Europe the prices nowadays are insane. A 1000 EUR for a Xiaomi or OP, 600EUR for Poco or Meizu. I don't think so.

Anonym, 08 May 2020600 Euros - $330 is not $100, not now, not ever. It's math. But now those Redmi K30 Pro macro and depth low end cameras are magically premium now under Pocophone brand, the new luxury Xiaomi brand for Europe. 650 euros is not enough, they should ask 900!!!

Anonymous, 08 May 2020If they have used 855 and bring the price down to 330$, whi... moreWhy people need to find gimmckis and modded software to take proper photos? Are you joking? People ofter use the phone's default camera app. Also that doesn't change the fact that this is a rebranded phone. Not even the best K30 Pro Zoom, is the one with a macro and depth sensor, the K30 Pro almost a double price than in China.

So yes, now Pocophone should be rebranded as "Muchophone" because cost "mucho" or "much". Maybe their CEO believe that people forgot the Pocophone F1 and magically they have become a premium brand. Never Settle!!! In prices... But they are not going to fool people. Sales will show it soon or after few months.

Anonymous, 08 May 2020If they have used 855 and bring the price down to 330$, whi... moreRealms X3 SuperZoom, also a Honor 30 Pro are a lot better in camera performance. And doesn't need gimmicks with Gcam that need to be developed by the community and not all phones receive those mods. The majority os people use the default app. And this phone is a lot overpriced outside of China, doesn't represent what initially Pocophone was and now use a rebranded product (K30 Pro) that is not even the best K30 Pro Zoom asking an obscene price... Is more than understandable that people are upset and raging. And sure that sales outside of China will be very low.

People is not stupid and today often find information here and in other sites before even go to the shop or buy a product. Society has evolved, maybe some CEOs should update their mentality and see that they can't fool people as easily as before. R.I.P. Pocophone... welcome overpriced rebranded "Muchophone".

Redmi, Mi, Pocofone are all designed, priced and aimed at different segments of the market. From what you say, Xiaomi is copying itself. What a non educated idea. No. They are trying to cover all bases and get full market coverage. Clever. Different phones for different types of people.

Anonymous, 07 May 2020855's still fresh though imoIf they have used 855 and bring the price down to 330$, which is 100 less, people would be like 'I can buy neo 3 for 50 more' 'not much different than mi9t pro, this phone is useless, poco copying redmi' again '.... There will always be someone not happy.
Truth to be told, even with 60hz display the base Chinese price is unbeatable for build, raw power, camera quality. Put EU ROM and Gcam and there you have it. Despite all complaints, this phone will be appreciated from all of us who like cut clean, hole free, undisturbed display.
Hopefully the price outside China goes down sooner.

So there will not be a Mi10T Pro, which would be rebranded K30 Pro for global release like it was the last year with the K20 Pro and Mi9T Pro?

So, this Poco F2 Pro is basically rebranded K30 pro?

I see clearly a Realms X3 SuoerZoom being a better alternative and cheaper for now. Probably also a Honor 30 Pro will drop faster in price being a lot better phone. Time to time. That doesn't change that this phone is highly overpriced.

They should change their name from Pocophone to Muchophone because now Poco is no more what is was... And now cost "mucho". So the brand name itself now includes a BIG lie!!!

Calm down people, it will be priced about 600€ in the beginning but after two months it will be priced about 400€ so anyway it will be the best phone for that price.

Vivo isn't here. It's Oppo and they always were a lot more expensive from the beginning. So is a change done by Xiaomi following the pricing politic from others pursuing bigger profits but only in regions where they believe they can charge more... But people today in a connected world are not as blind as before and discover this things asap. And then the mouth to mouth also works to not buy what not worth and what is not fair with them.

                                        - the camera on the k30 pro is really impressive.imx 686 isn't that far from flagship cameras
-it's your personal choice but amoled Is probably more expensive than 144hz lcd and many people will never use the high refresh mode because of the higher battery consumption. And poco doesn't have punch hole and have all the advantages that comes with amoled.
-poco and vivo's price are not that much different. 40€ isn't that much different.
                                        -ok
-you can cclearly see from the pictures that vivo neo3 has plastic frame.
The problem isn't with Xiaomi. There is somthing going there you can see the difference in price between other bbk phones in china and in Europe
