Looks like LG V60, with hole punch.

Meizu destroyed the last hope for a non notch screen, i have to settle for gaming phones the likes of rog and legion then. All notch designers are devils.

Yet more BS phones without a headphone jack or micro SD. Meizu are struggling financially and I hope they go bankrupt. They're just making useless E Waste that no one's goings-on to buy

For me it's one of the better censor in a mobile device, for picture, for AR and sadly builder don't use it for 3D scanning. Which is a shame... Cause it would be very useful to scan with a phone every object thatt you want. Especially, since phone are so powerful and have everything to scan

The back reminds me of the Nexus 6P.

Apart from that, is Meizu still playing catch-up when it comes to software updates? (if any)

I've mainly used MediaTek Meizu devices and they were rife with problems. They would release 2 maybe 3 updates and that was only for their Flyme skin.

Best front design so far but the back is hideous

I... moreOh well, you use the focal lenght of the main camera as reference, i preferred the typical angle of view in those lenses as they don't provide the maximum focal lenght of the telephoto camera so i preferred do the math 79/33 = 2.39 and 79/28 = 2.89 with 33º and 28º being the angles of view. Anyways are very typical. Is safe to say that it'll be between 2.39x and 2.89. Funny that they took the way of Sony defining it... hehehe. I bet that 3x optical zoom is not even reached in this one, like in the Xperia 1 II 200/70 = 2.85x. But only Meizu knows the true one : )

My mistake. Anyways you now have the official specifications links to know all about this phones and watch if you are interested in them. They have NFC, lineal dual speakers and supported bands are:

                    NetcomGSM: B2 / B3 / B8
                    WCDMA: B1 / B2 / B5 / B8
                    TD-LTE: B34 / B38 / B39 / B40 / B41
                    FDD-LTE: B1 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B7 / B8
                    NR: N41 / N78 / N79

VOLTE: Mobile / Unicom / Telecom

                    4 × 4 MIMO

For those in Europe it doesn't have LTE B20 band (800 Mhz very important in some countries like Spain due to be the best inside edifices/buildings). Also watch if the 5G NR bands are supported by your carriers. Those are: 5G NR: N41 (TDD 2500 Mhz) / N78 (TDD 3500 Mhz) / N79 (TDD 4700 Mhz). The 700 Mhz is also not supported and important to for the future in some countries.

In comparison, for 16s Pro OIS is mentioned, although without specifying which camera.

But, for telephoto camera - 79/26 = 3.04, so it has 3x zoom.

Nicolas F, 08 May 2020It has at least one OIS tho =) Yeah, Meizu seems to have... moreNone of the cameras has OIS, at least not mentioned in official specifications i link below, so i assume that "NO OIS" is present. NO audio jack and NO expandable memory.
Both share memory configurations but the vanilla has LPDDR4X + UFS 3.1 while the Pro has LPDDR5X + UFS 3.1.

The vanilla doesn't have a telephoto, it has main camera/wide angle, portrait camera, ultrawide camera and macro camera. The Pro has main camera/wide angle, telephoto camera with only around 2.49x optical zoom from OmniVision, for that reason they only promise 8x lossless zoom... because without OIS telephoto cameras are garbage. Ultrawide camera/Macro camera shared and 0.3MP ToF sensor .

The setup of cameras only share the main one, the rest are different. Official specs of both phones (use a traslator)...

You can read the rest of the specifications in the official links i posted. Gsmarena... No camera with OIS figure in the official specifications, you must update/change your web specifications with the official ones. Not even in the telephoto camera where high zoom need OIS to not obtain blurred photos or too much noise. For that reason i believe that they have promised only 8X lossless, because with more zoom it will be impossible to obtain a decent image. With the typical angle of view is a 2.49x optical zoom 8MP sensor from OmniVision.

                          So symmetrically pretty

Too bad, availability would likely be pretty limited outside China

Yeah I also agree with you, we all want no punch hole or cut-outs in our smartphone displays.

Nicolas F, 08 May 2020It has at least one OIS tho =) Yeah, Meizu seems to have... moreIn our country we have Meizu India as a company, hence all phone sold under Meizu branding are Google certified and have Google PlayStore pre-installed. No sideloading stuff here. We also get custom India specific features like support for dual SIM dual VoLTE which are even absent on global ROMs provided to other countries.

The biggest disadvantage of owning a Meizu is non-existent software support. Forget about Android version upgrades in global ROMs. My Meizu 16th (Meizu 16 in China) came with Android Oreo in 2018 and still is in Oreo as of 2020. The FlymeOS is clean and stable but lacks the feature set, the finesse and the intuitiveness of China's best: Huawei's EMUI 10 on Android 10.

I love to use my Honor View 10 not because of its hardware prowess but because of the awesome EMUI 10. It is without a spec of doubt the best Chinese ROM out there if features set is your main priority else OnePlus's OxygenOS.

What's the point of the second main camera on the non-Pro? It is inferior in every way - smaller sensor, smaller resolution, smaller pixels (1.6µm at 16MP vs 1.4µm at 12MP), and no OIS. Slightly smaller aperture, too.

But, they don't give us Global Versions of phones and software consistently =(
