RickyBoy, 08 May 2020starry mode, aka an overlay of a static image of the milky way Yes, exactly as I thought: overlaying a ready made image over the real garbage photo captured by the phone and claiming it came 100% raw ouput from the phone's camera.

Huawei used it in the P30 Pro's 'moon' mode and now Realme is using the same technique in some 'Galaxy' or 'Starry Night' mode. How pathetic!

Phone manufacturers are becoming adept at cheating phone users and enticing potential buyers just to sell phones. And DxOMark gladly connives with them through ever increasing 'Camera' ratings that keep on dramatically increasing without real significant progress.

AMAZING! The photo looks more like the distant Z8-GND-5296 galaxy than our own Milky Way Galaxy! The Huawei P30 Pro had a 'Moon' mode, so perhaps the Realme X3 is not to be outdone with the 'Milky Way galaxy' mode! Only that it doesn't look like the Milky Way Galaxy at all with its weird bluish-violet-greenish hue which is very far off from the Milky Way's color as seen from Earth!

Zoom on mobile phones are pretty much useless, especially zooms at 60x.
