The update will happen in stages. The other 2011 Xperias (except the PLAY) should start getting it soon too.

AnonD-23777, 29 May 2012“Our 2011 Xperia phones have 512MB RAM, while ICS was devel... moreYeah, that's what they said at the beginning. But the, One V has the same spec as Xperia's of 2011 lineup. And HTC also announces a low-end phone with lower hardware specs with ICS integrated with their 4.0 Sense UI. My Neo V is running super smoothly on ICS 4.0.4. No lags or anything. I didn't do any modding except for a status bar widget. 512MB is already enough because ICS has better memory management compare to GB. So, it's fine and worthy to update. About the late-ness, Sony is trying their hard to optimize ICS for their customers. 4.0.4 is smoother than 4.0.3. So, just be grateful to have a manufacturer that care so much for their customers :)

I check through PC Companion as well as SEUS, it says "your phone has the latest update". Anyway I will try again tomorrow ( May 30 ) if it's already available (middle east-Saudi Arabia).

“Our 2011 Xperia phones have 512MB RAM, while ICS was developed targeting a phone with 1GB RAM“
this is what i was expecting, i always thought 512mb of RAM is not enough for ics, especially if u couple that with a single core cpu

It has been as good as it was with GB. Sony has done a gr8 job wrt., to the ICS customisation, unlike how sammy has dont with my frnz Note. It has become super laggy and also he has lesser available RAM (approximate 128 mb of 1 gb) than what my 512 mb (130 mb RAM) neo RAM has.
It is not about single or dual core, its how the vendor customizes the OS. For now Sony has done a good job. least said, I am Happy :)
