Well, until a few minutes back I was planning to get an Xperia Arc in the near future. After going through various users' opinions that their phones have become too laggard after updating to ICS, I'm having second thoughts. I kinda prefer Xperia Arc to Xperia U as the former has a 4.2' display, but, I must say I'm being coerced in getting an Xperia U instead of Xperia Arc.

I genuinely, genuinely don't think single core phones can handle ICS whatever the manufacturer...
And this isn't all the manufacturer's fault...
I applaud Sony, HTC, Sammy, etc. for promising to update, but sometimes they can't keep these promises because they don't know exactly what they're upgrading their handsets to...
I recently downgraded from a GS2 to an Xperia Play (I always fancied one, and thought for the last few months of my contract, why not give it a whirl..)
Although the controller is amazing, love the chunky build too...
It's severely lacking in processing power, storage, screen brightness, etc. and after having a GS2 it's like going back 5 years in terms of phone speed..
And I guess the others in the range (neo / arc / etc.) are of a similar spec...
I would probably suggest everyone who has a phone from 2011 that isn't at least a dual-core not to upgrade to ICS...
On the plus side, it'll make my new Nexus (or whatever I get) in December feel like a phone from 2020!

yeah there are known issues about the slowness after ics update. but try this, connect to pc companion, select update then choose repair phone. it made mine feel much better

Anonymous, 29 May 2012make it plus one.... i don't really care about the ICS, sin... moreYep there are issues with ICS right now even my Neo V cant handle the pressure, most play users dont understand that and kept whinning to get ICS,but once they get it...BOOM,Complains none stop.at least your the one that understand that GB is a better option.
