In smartphone you have tons of brands with competitive prices. Xperia is a decent phone, the only problem with it is the price (imo) its just too expensive at launch, even more expensive than popular phone like galaxy series. Also they dont put ads on TV, thats the problem.

          Wonder how many Stadia Google have shifted in that same period? Maybe a thousand?

It'll take some tim... moreI hope they do, the fidelity looks like a massive leap, and they don't need time consuming optimisation as they are all done automatically by the engine when a very high poly count texture or object is imported from library.

                        I remember that when PS4 was announced a lot of people was saying that PS4 won't even outsold PS3 but I always new that PS4 will sell more than 100 millions.

                            Quite surprising that they saw no boost (from the expected numbers) in their sales.

                            Heads will roll, I'm sure. Most media providers saw a boost in their sale due to the quarantines, I'd expect gaming consoles to do too. The fact they didn't (the PS4 at least) is certainly abd news for the company.

                              PS2 sold additional 50 million units after PS3 was released. Dunno why the author of this article seems to be under the impression that PS4 sales would immediately drop dead the moment PS5 launched when that has never been the case in any generational leap.

                                Every article about techs current soft quarterly/YoY growth needs to refrain from using this pandemic as the sole cause for over 80% decline, in many cases, rather than acknowledging the elephant in the room.

                                EXTORTED PRICES, AWFUL MARKETING, DELAYED LAUNCHED RELEASES FOR MONTHS AFTER DEVICE'S ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FORCED 5G UPGRADES!

                                  "Funny" to read that they sold more PlayStation than any Xperia phone ... And more importantly, 4 or 5 times the number of smartphones.

                                  That pains me. :(

                                    Epic just showed Unreal 5 demo running in Playstation 5, the graphics fidelity is just insane just like real life
                                    just on screen ,Life like yet far less taxing on hardware resources unlike UE4 which is hugely taxing and some aspects still single threaded.

                                    Hoping the games actually look like that.

                                      You gotta love the current trending flame PS5 vs new Xbox, it's like monkeys arguing what type of thermal shield they will use on a space station.
                                      Teraflops, VRAM etc. flying everywhere :D it's so funny.
