AnonD-395, 30 May 2012Am I the only thinking Sony's way too close to going down t... moreLet me make things clear. The new acro S is killing the Xperia S (and US bound Xperia ion kills them all), sola makes Xperia U looks unattractive and they're in close price range, and there come Xperia go to squeeze between (in price, not features), which most people will likely going straight to sola anyway. The Xperia P is free from any internal competition, but Galaxy Ace 2 seems going to destroy it completely.
Furthermore, cheaper 2011 Xperia line is still there and modern enough to struggle the confused NXT line.
To be honest, HTC wasn't as stupid as this, at least they had enough margin between their models.

Great to see Sony combining high end specs with their eye candy phones. Only gripe I got is just about all Androids coming out these days have same form factor. Keyboard and stylus options (or combining the two) would be a great option. The only smart phone with functional stylus at the moment is Galaxy note and its way too big.

AAA, 30 May 2012xperia acro s looks like lumia 900/800 -.-"So anything square with black bezel and coloured outer border looks like a 800/N9? Interesting, I see the N9 becoming the new iPhone in term of design.

Am I the only thinking Sony's way too close to going down the same road as HTC last year? They are releasing more and more models, even though the original Xperia NXT lineup came off as rather confused (yes, confused, not confusing). Not to mention the Japanese models. And since then, we have even more Xperia phones... idk about others, but I can't even keep up with which model is aimed at who anymore.

I just wish for more unique designs. These are all the same and the design is already outdated.

AnonD-252, 30 May 2012Is the screen "Gorilla glass" or is it the same &... moreOh please. All real glass are scratch resistant. The specialty of Gorilla Glass is that it's tougher than any other glass. Sony provide the screen protector is to show it's kindness. Lots of users out there, even though their phone has the Gorilla Glass, they still put on the screen protector. About the memory, when you use a Sony phone, you'll get a free 50GB from Box. Since the internet is getting faster everyday, cloud storage is just like an invisible hard drive. Other than that, it's costly. Sony want to make their phone affordable for all. Not too high, but then, not too low. Peace out.

[deleted post]I don't know the price, but looking at the spec and comparing it with what Sony has out now (NXT line), the acro S seems to be a flagship model. And its definately a failure as such.
I agree that the specs are not everything. But if these phones are so optimised that they don't need high-end specs, why are the new weaker Xperias so slow in response on their promotional videos (NovaThor chipset)?
My old Galaxy S1 is much smoother then this. And its been running ICS for more then half a year now.

I think this website are made for a geek only.. not for consumer type of person. A geek always wanted a really2 high end devices but dont care about daily usage and optimization. After spread a virus in pc world now their are trying to destroy the smartphone world ... consumer always give feedback base on their daily used xperianz about the devices they had but a geek always care about the spec and keep demand for their own personal plassure. So to a geek tyoe of person... go back to your PC world..!!!!
