You are super ultra smart using your Lumis 950 as a WoA (Windows on ARM) device, with the ability to run a prolific back catalogue of Windows software applications.

Neither the Android-toting folk nor the bleating frolicking faithful, understand or appreciate there are millions more "apps" for Windows than iOS and Android combined.

To state "Android is rubbish" is a gross understatement of humongous proportion, for Android is beyond the realm of description.

I sincerely hope Microsoft eventually release the true Surface Foldable™ - the WCOS (Windows 10 X) version of the Surface Duo. It shall slaughter both the imminent Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 and the Huawei Mate Xs.

For what would probably be a device aimed at productivity rather than a specifications 'Top trump', most features seem to be acceptable.
However, and its a big however. That miserly battery capacity will ensure it is DOA (dead on arrival).
For a productivity device, Snapdragon 855 and 8Gb of RAM are more than sufficient as is a single lens camera (as long as it works).... but not that battery

So many self killing specs. Don't know why they bother to work on such thing. They have no talent for mobile. They already killed nokia. They are trying to hurt themselves. Who would go for such bezels ?

I can still accept all the specification until it said the battery only 3460 mAh, facepalm...

for those looking to read a pdf or doc and still be able to view emails or a website, this form factor is spot on. No sdCard slot however is not a plus.

Make it thicker, add more battery, external screen, and a camera. The internal screen can lower the resolution to 1080*1440, still respectable 320 something ppi, it can prolong the battery life too

I use it always on power as a desktop computer!!! The camera was great but it suffocates now, fails to focus every now and then. Image processing is very bad. No more old Lumia features like smartcam etc. yet a great Windows experience. Android is rubbish.

Why is it taking Microsoft this long to release an average phone? And if I remember correctly Microsoft said it will have mind blowing camera but hardware doesn't suggest it

Well it looks kinda ugly. The style Samsung uses is what I call good looking, except the notch of course. A single huge display is what people really wants, not something like this.

sohail shafayat, 16 May 2020if you give Microsoft another chance, they will bring anoth... moreI'd take a Surface design over a Pixel, all day long. This was on the drawing board ages, isn't trying to compete, as such, with those on 2nd gen folding device. MS design team are not slouches, they have some real talent. And for presentation, Panos is simply unmatched. Look at how Samsung and Huawei deliver a presentation, it's a sad cringy affair. Go watch the Surface reveals. That is textbook grade A presentation.

Yeah, short on numerous specs, but no point in revising specs, they wanna know if Devs will get in board first. If they do, the Duo 2 will likely go all in.

joe nodden, 16 May 2020There's a reason Microsoft failed before at making phones. And a dual screen wasn't it. Lumia 920, Lumia 1020, look better to me than most phones these days. Wireless charging in, 7years ago. Windows Phone was a surprisingly decent OS. Groove music was better than anything I've used on Android. Tiles were great, and better looking to me than IOS. Camera performance was above anything else around at the time. 1020 still produces decent results, even now. Apps were missing, that's it.

They keep repeating the same mistake... Look what happened in past with lumia 1020... Using old soc because microsoft stubbornness to keep using sd s4 instead of latest sd 600/800 at that time..

They just lazy to redesign and update all the driver.. and yet.. they decide to charge customers with premium price tag.. rip off

I like the concept. I really do. It give more options, productivity wise. But alas, I'm not a fan of high-end smartphones. My use case and the price doesn't add up. If there are device utilize this concept, with mid-ranger SoC, I might reconsider. If not, I'd rather get mid-ranger 8" tablet.

I want one... but I want one from the minute I get it, it isn’t obsolete! I love it, love the design, the way it looks, works, its exactly what I’m looking for... but not in the spec dept!

5G, 865, 10gig ram, 1tb hd, 120hz screens, no bezels & ill buy it on the spot!
