nobody, 18 May 2020TSMC is making chips using US technology and ARM technology... moreARM is UK not US. The machines to make the chips are from the Netherlands. The US won't allow TSMC to build their factory on US soil that's the point, at the end TSMC will lose because Huawei will use Samsung fabs or build their own.

Nothing lasts forever, but if you're talking time scale, it seems that come November all of this will blow over, i.e. when a certain administration falls.

[deleted post]Nah, is easier for China to go with Korea than stick to Taiwan.
But Mediatek will be left behind now. Since Chinese might ditch them for Exynos.

Snapdragon will fall fue Chinese response.
Exynos is on fire and is pending if AMD can save them
Seems that Apple is about to win the crown this year.

Politics is a dirty bastard. It holds technological advancements, it stops science from making the world better and the practitioners are the least intellectual beings on earth. Sadly, they're the ones in charge.

                  Sheesh!

Kirin chips has a high percentage rate only in China (with the extreme help from the CCP, but Huawei isn't state-owned, right?), folks, but globally, it falls drastically low to A-Bionic chip and Snapdragon.

Money rotates, folks! e.g. HTC, BlackBerry, Palm, etc.

When Huawei fall, more Snapdragon and MediaTek orders will extremely replace Kirin as though it didn't even exsist, without the need for aid from the CCP.

The real issue here is US had been the big bully and had hegemony over the world for too long, and any country that don’t play along are constantly smeared with baseless lies to paint them as evil, as US controls the world media also. Think of all the so called evil countries according to the media, all of them don’t listen to US. That is why they are ‘evil’. Don’t fall for the baseless smears from US media...

Wake up, the US are the ones doing the spying. Not only that, but they also preach free market and act like it is only valid for the rest of the world. Shame on you USA.

Regardless of what the administration say, any American company can be bought if not on the table then under.

I've been using Huawei phones for a while now and I'm currently using one and love them but I serve no fanboy loyalty to any brand.. So I support the Trump administration! MAGA2020!

Plot Twist: The Kirin 1020 for Mate 40 are ready, but the ones for P50 are not and they will move to Samsung to achieve that.

Huawei chips are not Huawei's, It's under license from US companies.
Samsung and Apple chips are the same. Minor changes to US tech so they can "rename" the chips.
Is it so hard to understand?

It is good. Trump is doing very good for USA and for the whole world. CCP influence must be stopped to check all this spying on consumers.

So will be there kirin 1020 or no ? This is so ironic why should non us company listen to us government
