HTC launches One S in Taiwan with 1.7GHz processor

Although it is clocked higher, the processor is actually the older Snapdragon S3 instead of the S4.

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2012I guess the home country will give HTC more leeway for gimp... moreYeah. It is quite unfair to offer same battery. Less efficient SoC and same battery. If it is not a lot cheaper than it is enormous rip off. Though it is quite cool they actually over clocked it this much.

I guess the home country will give HTC more leeway for gimping their offering. The S3 is just less efficient than the S4, so I guess the battery will take quite a hit especially with the overclocking.
