From antutu scores the gpu looks about 10-15% worse than 845. Plus this things going to be a lot more efficient. Even at the same price or a little bit more, this would be the better choice. If its anything like the note 8 pro there should be custom developments and gcam too.

This will be a very critical turning point for MTK! and also meant cheaper phones for consumers.

                  My best wish for Redmi 10X series:
                  1) D820 delivers the promised performance with good thermal efficiency;
                  2) Redmi 10X Pro delivers a periscope optical zoom.

                  For 2020, nobody should buy a phone without a periscope optical zoom 5X or larger. Up to this point, a quality periscope optical zoom pretty much defines what a quality smartphone should at least offer.

                    The 250$ Poco F1 with SD845 still the budget king with only slightly perform weaker against Dimensity 820. So if Redmi 10X cost over 250$ its not gonna worth it but for those comes from SD7XX(except SD768G) then below its OK.

Dimensity 1000 is miles better than 765, yet OEMs are not using it as much as they should and 865 costs 150 whole USD, combined with the OLED display and you get a bill of materials as 300 already. Then people want flagship pocos for 300... SMH

                            On paper, D820 looks promising, but ultimately it will be tested in the hand of the users. I do have doubts about the thermal efficiency of this up-clocked SoC. If it does deliver 90% of the performance of Kirin820, in terms of 5G, ISP, etc, with good thermal efficiency, this chip will take off.

                                    We have the Redmi Note 9 series and instead of Redmi 9, we're going for the Redmi 10X :|
