      May I know what is the reason after download the apple software 1247 the battery drain very fast. Is this the same old trick apple is doing for ole phone 6 plus. This will be my last apple phone. Just change battery slightly a year ago. New model out so old model battery drain very fast.

        Every time I’m rushed to do an update, I end up loosing something... this time was the battery percentage!

        No longer shows after I unlock the screen.
        Even if I toggle it ON/OFF on Settings.

          Ppl and several businesses used Intel chipsets for years without issues despite the Spectre & Meltdown vulnerabilities. Unless a team of hackers specifically target you exploiting that security loophole, you are safe.

          Ppl continue to fall for marketing gimmicks where they feel if they don't have the latest security patch, they are vulnerable or worse the phone becomes unusable after 2 years. These are the same people that can be hacked using a simple phising link and they are worried about vulnerabilities in the system that are less likely a threat.

              What actually matter is getting security patches and you get that for 3 years from respectable OEM-s. And be honest , not many people in android carry phones much longer. I've never had phone more than 2 years. It simply never lasted in my hands.

                    The 5 year update system of iOS is a giant scam. You get latest features 5 years late on an average. Android is light years ahead of iOS in terms of functionality, customizability, security and ease of use. Android from 5 years back can do things iPhone can't.

                    The upcoming iOS 14 will finally get an app drawer and fully functional widgets, Lol these are things that existed on Android a decade back.

                    Plus with every subsequent update, your battery and cpu are deliberately slowed down by Apple (Yes, they are paying fines for this malpractice) whereby one is forced to upgrade after a few years.

                      Sam, 22 May 2020This update will make these devices even slower.The latest few updates made my original Air a bit faster. Especially iOS 12. I still have an Android phone, but having seven years of support (six years of newest iOS releases) definitely felt great, like my device isn't forgotten and outdated after two years.

The phone is 5 years old. They have a pretty solid software. Way more light then Android. (That's pretty much their power: Software optimisation).

Android phones might have bigger and better screens, more cameras and are open to do what you want, but in the end it comes down to longevity and support. How many 7 year old Android phones are getting updated still? You’d be hard pushed to find an android phone supported past two/three years.
