After the rush of high-powered smartphones and the undeniable fact of having to charge our batteries everyday, it's really nice to have once again simple phones with some of the smartphone features minus the battery appetite. Beginning to consider the Asha 311 as my second phone and hopefully have to charge only twice a week.

I now believe that Nokia is beginning to find its orientation once again. This range of phones, with such intelligent specs and prices will sell like hot cakes. Given Nokia's reputation for making solid value for money phones, personally I sense a new dawn for Nokia and so much the better.

Now this brings budget phones to a whole new level. This spec sheet at mere $115 is highly remarkable:

Good for Nokia, I hope everything turns out better for them in the high end segment.

AnonD-3367, 06 Jun 2012Lame? What are you? 12?
You clearly haven't a clue of what... moreWell, as you could see, other ppl replied for me, but still, please go buy an android phone of 90 euro and let me know if it is useable...
Actually, let me help you. I recently purchased a Galaxy Y Pro (about 130 euro) phone for my everyday needs, and I can reassure you that:
1) It is dead slow in handling
2) It can bearly handle multitasking
E.G., when I run the browser and open my dictionary at the same time, the browser is closed by the system. This is not multitasking.
If you go to price range of 200+ euro, yes, you can find many android phones worth having, e.g. Xperia Ray.
But sub 100 euro you will get absolutely nothing.

KF, 06 Jun 2012LOL clueless person detected, it's NOT the same S40 as u know itYes there are lots of people who are commenting without knowing. This new OS is called as S40 Ash and includes some fascinating features taken from MeeGo such as Swipe and also supports limited multi tasking.
These are the same people who don't know nothing about Nokia Belle and keep saying "Oh Symbian! Epic fail!"... While Nokia Belle is a newly developed OS that is inspired from Maemo5 and is based on:
Web Runtime
Open C/C++
Python
Java
Flash
Qt
Symbian C++
I also blame the Nokia naming convention for keeping the old names even for their new developments that are really user friendly and functional.
