You expect everyone is up to 30 years old and spend there life facing screens all day long ? There is still a lot of people who want touchscreen phones but not with the tablet size and there is still lots of people who use button phones as why else all still make them like Samsung and Nokia.

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2020That's because consumers want bigger phones..and thats ok, but if someone makes like 50 differente phones per year (like Samsung, Xiaomi/Redmi, Huawei/Honor, Oppo/vivo/RealMe...) Do, at least of those 50 models, they can make 5-10 with 5.8", or 6", or 6.1" in 19:9, or 20:9 aspect ratio..
Is not height problem in those giant bricks, but width, and thats why, phones like Galaxy S10e, like Galaxy S20, like Xiaomi Mi9 SE, like Galaxy A40,41, even iPhone 11 Pro, are good for someone who wants to use phone with one hand.
And those Redmis 9 (even those from 9 Note series), are to wide.

And those Chinese OEMs it seems they can't make in 2020 smaller than 6.5" phone, shame.. :(

Majority people have these big phones cause they dont have any choice to get a small phone. Show me 1 phone that isnt 6 inch or bigger that is made in year 2020 that isnt Iphone SE 2020. That has decent specs and cost under 250 euro. Samsung A40 is 2019 phone and is only phone that is somewhat compact or even can be said as very compact phone for todays standards.
Stop this bs majority want big phones. You cant say this when market is full of only tablets where you dont have a choice to get smaller phones.
There is only option to get 6 inch to 7 inch phones. You dont actually have even a choice to get 6 inch as most low end even starts with 6.1-6.2 inch screens. And the phones we sill have with 5.7 inch have enough bezels that still make them over 147mm tall

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2020Well g70 is the same as p65Hm..ok, then G70 is similar to P65.. But Redmi 9 will be priced, under 150 euros, and Galaxy A41 is (now), about 300.. So there you go, you get compact dimensions, smaller top, botton, better screen, but also for 50% more of the price.. Anyway, those MtK SoCs, are no where near to Qualcomm's, 720G, and phone wi that SoC (also from Xiaomi, Note 9s), is 160 euros.. Botton line, if you wanna budget Redmi phone, go to Note 9s, or Pro (not Note 9 with G85, or Redmi 9 woth G70).

I don't have anything against niche consumers wanting compact phones but just know smaller phones are not "normal"in modern day

Now if you just got confused (can't blame you with the craziness xiaomi is doing with branding these days), and you meant the Redmi Note 9 Pro global version (aka Note 9 Pro Max, "God help us"), it's already available.

Where do these G25 and G35 even lie interms of power
Are these equivalent to Snapdragon 400? Are they replacing p25 range.. I know we don't have concrete info on them but I'm curious.. just to speculate
Due to lack of competition I'd argue Snapdragon 845, 855 and 865 and their entire 7 and 6 series were TRASH because they were all birthed in comfortable complacency.. just imagine 2021 with pressure from mediatek and AMD +samsung

You can have all types of hardware specs phones but only will remain same is the screen size need to be 6 inch to 7 inch.
Up to redmi 7 they keep that low end phones screns on some what compact size and then from 8 and on they are same large tablets like th rest of there phones.
How can Samsung fit 5.9 inch screen inside 144.4 x 69.2 dimensions and price under 200 euro for A40 but none of the chinese can do it even with there 5.45 inch screens that body dimensions were 146.3 x 70.4
Now 5.45 inch screen should fit in something 135 x 70 or even 130 x 70 mm
That would be a nice phone to have with something Mediatek G70 like cpu with decent camera and something 3000mAh battery so it wont make it very big and heavy.
I dont know but really is that too much to ask to get a phone for normal people who want a phone and not a tablet that is the only things we get today and seems like same for tomorrow. There are no fold options even other then 1000+ euro in cost like Razr or samsung z flip that be clam shell that makes them somewhat pocet friendly and dont make your pants like stormtrooper that wont allow you to even sit down while the phone is in your pocket.
