      Well i am not happy with this decision.
      More way to see and control by others.
      What if anyone stole my phone or when people living with me borrows it.
      There are tons of security lackbusters.

            If you want to use handicapped ecosystem, I advise you to switch to iOS.

Why do you think Google pretty much killed Android tablets by themselves? They want Chrome OS, because they have better control on it.

                  Can we get a PC mode? All of our phones now are powerful enough to handle a dex like experience as long as we talk about Mid range to flagships.
                  I don't know why Google won't officially support this option

                    Nobody needs that unless you are rooted and if you are rooted you can customize your power button as you wish.

                      Already have this feature on Evolution X 4.3 Custom ROM.

                        Maybe they'll convert the power button into a Windows-like button (the Android button, perhaps?). By that I mean to have all the apps there, settings shortcuts, recent apps, search, etc. Basically, shove everything in the power button menu. And, just like the Windows button, it has the restart/shut down option, too.

                        POWER (button) to the people!

                            Google looks like it is making a mess. The current power button menu is nice and simple and straightforward; this looks like a cluttered disaster.

                              So... most people have to automatically know what its function is? There's loads of other features / settings " most people " never even get into so your comment is null.

                              A google search will instantly clear things up and for those in the know, it's a simple convenience that's been always irrationally omitted.
