Sony PlayStation 5 June 4 event postponed over George Floyd protests

02 June 2020
The Japanese tech giant was going to give us a glimpse of the PS5 games on Thursday.

For people that against the postponed for whatever reason, remember that Floyd Memorial was happening on the same date. Also remember that the event probably was planned to be done from the US. I think postponing the event is the correct choice for Sony, not just because they probably will have less coverage but mainly because the backlash they probably would receive if they still going ahead with their plan.
Yes, the event is not for US only, but again, it was probably planned to be streamed from the US like their PS5 reveal. Sure, SEGA didn't postpone anything, but at the same time, what SEGA announced was mainly for Japanese market only (the fog thing and handheld thing). If PS5 event was planned to be done in Japan or Europe, they probably won't postpone it while at the same time they can say that they support the movement.

It isn't on the cards. I might as well ask what will you do when aliens land on your lawn, and are impervious to Earth weapons... Hope you have a ray gun. Seriously, this government, as appalling as it is, are not gun ho, and far less trigger happy. We thankfully don't have much civilian access to firearms, so I don't need a firearm.

What you gonna do when they ( police, military on the orders of the NWO ) come busting everyone's doors down including yours and snatching everyone up like history taught us as history repeats itself?

How are you going to protect yourself from being separated from your loved ones?

Still doesn't mean this was race related. The victim had a history too, but I'm judging them both on their actions in this scenario. At the end of the day, the authorities have a culture of extreme action. Just look at the prison sentences.

It was definitely a race issue. However, similar things have happened to white people before such as Tony Timpa (with much less media coverage and outrage). I think this is the cause of the police having to much power. The termination horbeas corpus and qualified immunity makes police officers near untouchable. Also, this police have a code to protect each other no matter how much of a piece of crap thing they did. All this adds up to the police brutality.

With the above in mind, tell me why are you pointing the culprit finger at civilian access ( which is freedom by the way ) to so called " destructive weapons " when hand firearms are nowhere near as destructive as biological, nuclear and other agents for example?

People want to protect themselves, which is a natural normal human being thing to do and not everyone is going to be a karate master nor will karate or any other form of martial arts or actual physical strength combat the speed of a bullet.

There are many areas of the culture that are less than healthy. And, I'm not even sure race was the issue here. Is there any evidence that the guy was targeted for race? He was part of what I'd describe as the under class, the authorities don't seem to treat them in the same way. In terms of what needs fixing... The list is longer than my thumbs will permit. When billions are spent on election campaigns, and prescription drug abuse is rife, and school shootings are semi regular, and so much of the culture glorifies violence, and the access to destructive weapons is so enshrined, and.... Well the list goes on. And, for clarity I'm not saying my country of birth doesn't have it's faults.

Oh well, carry on and win the fight. All of this would have never happened if the cop never knelt down on George Floyd's neck. The man's abiding the law to not resist but these cops mistreated him like he's resisting.

[deleted post]Yeah, thanks for the support. Not sure I typed it as well as I could, it seemed to cause offence. I think that it was a salient point, as the officers will have had that info, and made judgements from there. They were presented with the situation of a large male, somewhat intoxicated, very well built, former bouncer, with form for an armed robbery. I don't think I'd have been eager to turn up to restrain him! They were not turning up to meet Carlton from the Fresh Prince. I was also trying to shut down anyone falling back on that arguement, as if he deserved it. All that said, from what I read, and that really isn't much, the chap wasn't a huge threat, in actuallity. Feel sorry for his kid, awful what happened. If I was organising the reaction, I'd have picked her up, and all their photos and home videos, and tour every police station. Humanise the victim, and show the police the consequences. Atrocities like what happened to Floyd tend to be facilitated by taking the person out of the problem, dehumanising them to the point that it is easy to treat them in a less than human capacity. Many do it, crack head, smack head, coke head, etc. Once they aren't human, it's easy to treat them as cattle.
