Anonymous, 02 Jun 2020I appreciate you amending some of the comments you made, an... moreKudos to you. I can assure you I'm really sorry that yet another person has died at the hands of a Draconian system. Same as I am when I see another school shooting, and literally zero being done. I'm all for peaceful protest. But that is what it should be, same with the vote with your wallet thing. It's the reason why I don't buy stolen goods. I wanna keep the high ground, and want to be able to criticise those that steal etc. As for the way they are dealing with the genuinely peaceful protests, simply awful, but not at all surprised. It's difficult to get everything across and in context. I was surprised Sony cancelled, as I think they may have had more impact turning up, and showing a black screen for 1 minute. They will have the world's attention. I doubt Trump cares when the PS5 is revealed. In conclusion, thanks for not being to harsh on me, and also considering what I was attempting to convey. Stay safe.

I was a little crass/personal in some of those posts, and think it's commendable that you replied in a calm and level headed fashion. I suppose I'm somewhat of a hypocrite, I painted you with the same brush as allot of the other ignorant posters that plague the internet and use current events as a way to push their own agenda. Stay safe and open minded

But is everyone not looting a peaceful protester? Nope. In terms of his previous convictions, I can see how you arrived at your conclusion, and I pondered adding that bit. What I was trying to convey was that even though some will fall back on the "he was a serious felon, so had what was coming to him", I don't think much would have justified 8 mins on his throat, that's just awful. In terms of trump rhetoric, I genuinely wouldn't know what his was. Only time I see him is if I wanna have a laugh, I get him up on YouTube. I wouldn't let him run me a bath, never mind a country. For clarity, the system over in USA is a mess. And I think they need a bit more than these protests to fix it.

The huge amount of peaceful protesters being assaulted with weapons? Those wrongfully arrested for protesting in public areas? Those who were pepper sprayed and attacked by lines of law enforcement who did so for the supposed 'protection' of a president who has already threatened them all via twitter with firing squads? That's your problem, you group the protesters and looters together (when they are two groups with very separate intentions) and use it to make it seem as if they're all overreacting for personal gain. You're part of the problem, and you've clearly bought Trump's rhetoric. If you cared at all, you wouldn't have raised Floyd's previous convictions, of which he had already served his time, as it is absolutely no relevant to what happened. Weak

[deleted post]My point was that I don't think the reason it was pulled was quite what was made out. To me, it's a commercial decision based on likely air time. For America, it's a big problem, less so for the rest of the world. I have not seen the footage of the arrest, so can't comment that effectively, but I'd find it hard to believe that a handcuffed man needs to be knelt on across his throat. The chap didn't deserve that, despite being a convicted armed robber. Worst bit is, I think the duration was shocking, and I'm sure many would succumb to the same fate with a knee on their neck. What irks me is the way people go about "protesting", makes it real easy for their government to swing into more heavy handed responses. Incidentally, I provided an opposing viewpoint based on examples... You respond by attacking me. Genius.

[deleted post]That is how the blind eye sees it really. But, these troublesome law enforcement cares not about serving and protecing all of its communities but only the rich people and its businesses for many decades. Now, most of the same prioritize/privilege people that the law enforcement only seemed to care about has now been reversed.
You can't get good out of bad.

I have enjoyed debating with you guys/gals on here, many very passionate and many as ludicrous as hell, but it was free and JUST expression.
Brother Floyd's expression was violated, censored, ignored and inhumane.
Remember that day, remeber this day, family.
BlackOut Tuesday!

Peachy001, 02 Jun 2020It's about commanding the news space, which they couldn't d... moreSo them pulling out the online show is because they will not receive much news space?
Thats crazy considering how many people were looking forward to it, you just have to see the Playstation instagram page to see lots of people were eagerly awaiting this event.
If thats the case they may aswell cancel last of us 2 because the news of its release and reviews wont be as widespred because of the current situation in the US.
And yes ALL lives matter and since no one has cancelled events in the past this should never have been cancelled. I mean Corona is still going on and Sony wasnt going to cancel it for a worldwide virus that has affected over a few hundred thousands.
And apparently Sega has a revolutionary announcement for June 4th but unlike Sony they havent cancelled it

Peachy001, 02 Jun 2020I'm aghast... You do realise there are murders and injustic... moreyou do realise that this incident sparked protests across nationwide (and attracting eyes of the world) in more than 100 cities, not to mention the impacts after this incident such damaged buildings, shootings, people pillaging stores and commercial stores, until some states imposed curfews, are these not greater? all of those are caused by this single incident.
Probably sony when announcing still have no idea how this incident will develop, and no one could, then this incident has developed to this great extent, so sony make this decision and some company cancelled or postponed their events too.

[deleted post]It's about commanding the news space, which they couldn't do at this time. I think to suggest it is anything else is crazy. Whilst this is tragic, what is worse is this is commonplace. As are school shootings, which to me are equally as tragic. That country (not the people) is in a mess, as are many others. I put up my original comment to see what people thought in terms of why Sony pulled the show. I'm a little more cynical, and didn't buy into the compassion side.

Much of these events with physical presence should be reduced while some like the Olympics need to be totally done away with.

Shanti Dope, 02 Jun 2020It's not like just a simple a birthday party of a person th... moreI'm not onboard with discrimination, but equally I don't think there is a racial element to it. Seriously, I just think it is heavy handed policing which is the problem. The USA has problems, undoubtedly. But this isn't an act reserved for one race, the heavy handedness is dished out in abundance. Look at their sentences... 263yrs. What the hell. It tells you how they think. How would I feel if it was my relative? Bit of a silly question. But, I wouldn't expect them to stop an online event. I can assure you that I'm more bothered about the events than you may think, and likely more than Sony. This, as has been explicitly mentioned in other comments, is about being down the news ranking order. How do I know, because they only pulled it once the backlash started dominating the news. All lives matter.

Peachy001, 02 Jun 2020Barely have an audience?you're kidding surely? Do they post... moreIt's not like just a simple a birthday party of a person that we're talking about here.
An innocent person's life has been taken here and discriminated so badly. Imagine if that person is your relative and people don't give a damn about seeking justice, how'd you feel about that?
Besides, things like these can be continued later on, we have a lot of time for it. Right now, what's more important is this issue to be resolved and justice to be properly served. Again, simply because you're not affected, doesn't mean you shouldn't take it seriously. Who knows, maybe you're next in line after this (hopefully not).
After all, if you're not compassionate enough to understand other people's feelings, then might as well piss off and let them do their thing, you do yours.
