Nice performance. About 50% better single core than a Snapdragon 835 and a good 20% better on multi-core. So now budget phones are great value. We live in great times peoples.

As far as I know, one plus z is wireless bullet earphones. But here you telling about mid-range smartphone. Is your information correct?

Expecting same camera setup of OnePlus 7T, without ultrawide and telephoto lense it would be useless. Because, now it is time to telephoto shooter. Metallic frame, OIS and IP68 rating. Otherwise, it will not a midrange killer.

Awww... I thought it would have that Mediatek Dimensity 1000 chipset. Still, let's just hope that this 765G OnePlus is way cheaper than the cheapest vanilla OnePlus 8.

Well i dont believe that SD765G and SD865 will make a big price difference.
If used with same features like SD865 phones have the difference with just CPU will make no more than 50 euros discount.
Thus to my honest opinion.
