While the statistics and numbers may be correct, iPhone as I see it is not a mass market phone, it is a class phone or a statement in itself. For there can be 300 or even 3000 different models or devices sporting android and may be less number of phones running on WP, but at this point there are just 8 models all manufactured by the same company whose devices can run iOS and as days go by there will be even less and less number of devices; naturally the numbers will fall but the usability or superiority of the devices will never fall. In sharp contrast is the BB. BB was also a phone which had a niche clientele among business users, the moment the phone was taken away from the target section and focused at the masses, its downfall came like it was always imminent. Comparing iOS devices and android devices for this reason is like comparing 'Apples" with Oranges

                  Its not ALL true.
WP will surpass all OS by 2014 - not 2015 and BB will be no more.

Will Nokia and RIM still survive till 2016? Its quite unclear even for SE and LG, less to say that 2.

Im sorry, this is rediculous. Im now going to predict the results for the Premier league next season using the same technique as IDC has for this. West ham will go the season Unbeaten, followed closely by QPR and 3rd will be norwich. Manchester United, Manchester City, and arsenal will all be relegated. Bursaspor will win the champions league, and my prediction for the euros? Brazil... Are you getting my point???

No one of my friends do got a wp7, it's more a race between iOS and android where android will be the clear winner. In History nobody achieved the first place by selling expensive weak stuff, it always was the cheaper and more intelligent. It wasn't the maybach that survived it was the vw bug, it wasn't the most expensive computers that we use today, it is the pc and so on....

Android switching data shows the robot is vulnerable, unloved

                                        "
Amongst Android fans and even analysts there is a perception that Google’s dominant position is now fixed forever, forgetting of course how rapidly it came about. There is of course also the alternate perception – that Android buyers are only buying phones running the OS because they could not, for some reason, be it cost or availability, get an iPhone.

New data by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners found that in April up to 42% of iPhone sales in US were refugees from other smartphones, in the main Android phones, reminding us that the OS has very little loyalty, something which is likely both a result and reflected in its customer satisfaction numbers.

The lock-in from having an Android phone is likely a lot less than with an iPhone, due to the fragmented, open ecosystem.  While Apple is the main recipient of this at present, if Microsoft can play their cards right, they could also see Android uses as a large pool of future happy Windows Phone users, rather than an obstacle to future market share gains."

More and more leaving their android phones, how about that!
