One UI 2.5 might bring ads to stock Samsung apps [Updated]

It remains to be seen how Samsung will handle ad placement in its upcoming One UI update.

If this becomes mainstream, I'm selling everything I own and go live in a forest somewhere alone.

    Thanks for the heads-up, will not update to 2.5. Showing ads is okay, specially in stock only apps, but giving us exynos is not okay. No chinese (Boycott), no samsung, no Lg(bad software updates), no pixel in my country now, only option is Apple which has unfair pricing in Our country. Asus is another option, but I don’t like their phones. If my country starts to manufacture qualcomm devices like it used to few years back, I would buy it in a heart beat.
    Or else have to wait for apple 1 year to get low pricing.

        Galaxy S7 was the last good phone from Samsung. It’s sad they’re willing to do anything to squeeze more money from their customers.

            I don't get this, Samsung is a multibilion dollar company. Why would they do something like this. Does this have anything to do with Covid 19? Do they suffering so much loss that they need to run ads to cover the loss of the shipment?

              You have no idea what you're talking about.
              Xiaomi doesnt put ads in full display like these screenshots show Samsung doing. And in miui they you can disable them easily/ wont have them at all in 250euro + devices.
