Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 to miss on S-Pen support due to technical limitations

That is too bad, a Fold without an S-Pen is not really high-end. But there is always the Fold 1 which is spectacular. And it will be cheaper until it sells out completely. And Samsung will not manufacture it anymore because it spends a lot on repairs when people take their scratched-screen Fold in for service :)).

Glass is a hard solid, do you see window glass bending based on user input?
Do you see a glass wine, beer bottle or jar flexing no matter how hard you try?
No, so it's logical that the fake " UTG " they are using is essentially a mimicked plastic substrate composition like that of thin plastic foils, wraps and such but definitely not glass.
Yes, it's somewhat true that Samsung is trying though they're still not trying hard enough and resort to marketing to milk people even more. Gone are the days of the Kings like The Note4 and S4 / S5's

But still, we can't deny that Samsung are trying and might end up solving this problem in the near future, it just doesn't seem to be happening with the fold 2.

Already excited with the new Galax... moreAlready excited to wait for the 3rd or 4th gen product which should translate into a proper foldable phone as 3rd / 4th gens are usually the most rightfully crafted, improved and optimized in each life cycle no matter what the product is and I'm basing this all on the superior King Galaxy Note4 example as there hasn't been a device to dethrone it since.

You're right, UTG is ultra thin glass - no doubting that but the difference or foolish marketing shall I say makes everyone believe that UTG is actually on the Fold / Z flip when it's not.
Soft materials show dents, marks whereas fingernail marks will not be visible on any glass material surface since glass is hard.

" UTG is Ultra Thin GLASS "- yes, that is true as that's what UTG stands for but it's most certainly not used in any Samsung or any other OEM device because it's just marketing to fool you since glass is resistant to fingernail marks.

Shadocx, 09 Jun 2020Who said I hate Samsung, you're a little too much a fanboy ... moreThe screen on the Z Flip is always protected when you don't use it. No need to put a bumper, screen protector or huge case on it. It happens automatically the moment you flip the phone.
The screen on a candybar phone is ALWAYS exposed to damage unless you put in in a fugly case. So, to your question about how durable the Z flip screen is: it will most certainly stay scratch-free a lot longer than those old-school candybar phones.

And nails don't leave scratches on glass in case you didn't know.
The hardness level of nails is lower than glass on Mohs scale.
