It doesn't take a genius to figure out that MacOS is simply subpar and doesn't meet the requirements of every kind of users.

Whole user base gets left out coz of handicapped nature of MacOS.
They should just rename it as ToyOS.

There is a reason why Windows is the first choice of OS on PC platform not MacOS.

SizN80, 10 Jun 2020Someone tried to call Windows a premium OS,looool. Now I ha... morepremium OS, for me, is OS that is used by MOST people in the world, support VAST application, VERSATILE (can do almost ANYTHING) and used for server.

Therefore, only Windows that tick all the requirement.

BTW, I realize that u have near 0 knowledge about x86-64 oAND ARM architecture, that's why u can say something ILLOGICAL like:

"A series of chips are already far ahead of any rubbish that was being used in Android..."

FYI, Apple A series SoC are NOT far ahead of ANY ARM-based SoC; the ONLY reason why it could score higher in benchmark is because Apple ALWAYS designed their SoC with bigger die size, while reference ARM architecture ALWAYS uses small die size. but still keep in mind about the perfomance gain.

THAT"S WHY, ALL Apple SoC are battery-eater when in use, while ALL ARM high-performance cores are still relatively battery-friendly, even in intensive use.
MIND YOU, if u wanna argue about standby time, ALL Android phones, even more so with Cortex A53 /Cortex A55 cores, can last LONGER than ANY Apple SoC.
You can see the battery test used here and see that NO iphone won ANY sort of battery test.

In short, if u mean 'rubbish' by losing to Apple A13 in 'benchmark' scores, well, good for you; please live in that 'imaginary number' world from now on.
While ALL smartphone experts know that Apple SoC is SOOOO inefficient in real life; added with the fact that Apple ALWAYS put small battery capacity, resulting in DISAPPOINTING battery life.

This sounds like a good idea but no, if you can't run X86 applications on work notebooks and laptops they will fail. ARM is great for surfing the web, watching some videos, playing some simple games but to get real work done you need real apps and real operating systems. Not shit that comes on the iPad, that has only cut down versions of actual professional applications. Apple made this SAME mistake before, using Power PC RISC processors that weren't compatible x86 applications and it was a massive failure. 99% of serious professional applications (CAD, Video Editing, Rendering, etc) just don't run on ARM and it's not powerful enough to run those types of apps because it wasn't designed to be power, it was designed for efficiency. That's great if you limit apps to 4gb RAM, but we have apps that can use 64 cores and drain thousands of GB of RAM, the ARM architecture isn't designed for that and won't be for a very long time, it would require a totally new re-design and even then who the fuck would support it?

Someone tried to call Windows a premium OS,looool. Now I have truly read it all in this place.

Anyway this a fantastic move by Apple moving in the right direction, A series of chips are already far ahead of any rubbish that was being used in Android and in a bigger case will probably be able to be better than anything Intel based. :) looking forward to this and I can see the Apple haters are already salivating over what they won’t be able to afford.

                      Good luck with that, CRapple...

Even Windows shelved their UWP ambition and SEVERELY criticized for their "Windows 10 for ARM" because of the limitation in ARM architecture; unless u employed one hell of programmers in your OS development team, this migration needs years to be fully completed.

Not to mention, ARM architecture is not ready for 'serious' OS which support 'true' multitasking. In terms of performance, maybe Cortex A77 or the upcoming X1 might be able to surpass x86-64, BUT software support & backward compatibility with previous x86-64 is questionable, at best.

It doesn't have enough cooling to be considered a gaming laptop. In the 13 inch versions its integrated GPU is too weak to be used for gaming anyway, even the Iris Plus G7 version won't give you high framerates in modern games.

Speaking of the 13-inch versions it competes with the Dell XPS 13 and HP Spectre/Elite Dragonfly, which costs nearly or similar to the Macbook (Air) and none is able to be used for intensive gaming.

Put more cooling in the laptop and it'll gain weight and thickness.

Its 16 inch Pros with AMD Radeon Vega/Pro GPUs are not designed for gaming as well, but only graphics design/multimedia due to the driver compatibility (Nvidia is still better in terms of gaming).

If you want to game then buy a laptop with lots of bulk or better build your own PC. Don't mention many Windows laptops come with bloatware (antivirus software) pre-installed. What a preach.

It's a dead end Operating System.

At the end of the day, Windows remains the OS of choice on PC platform.
                                It satisfies everyone.
MacOS is simply inferior. Can't match the premium Ecosystem of Windows which offers true functionality, true optimization, flexibility and a buffet of choices to select from unlike ToyOS.

I just can't stop bathing in the glory of Windows 10 as an operating System.
