Go to hell sony if u can't keep up the promise they r first to anounce abt ics update but they finish it at last wat r they trying to do after this just quit sony its enough from u

man sony has not updated my x10 which cost a fortune more than mini pro ...sony has got its marketing all wrong... Why not update like apple where all devices old or new get updated ...well goodbye sony because nxt i will buy apple only

Ive been trolling the threads for more details on when my phone is going to get the update but seems that the phones that we have gotten in SL are under SI numbers that have yet to get the update.
If you want to check the SI number, you need to remove the back cover, take out the battery and then you can will find a number near the bar codes and stuff called SI which ideally should look like SI 12XX-XXXX (Depends on which country the device was destined to go to) and then you need to search the list: http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/199353 (Use ctrl + f & search for the SI number without any spaces).
So far they seem to have updated a lot of numbers in between but mine! SI 1252-XXXX and well i really hate waiting! I have been bugging Sony on Twitter & Google+ and i think i will start on Facebook too! :D
Hope you have much better luck than me & glad that Sony is actually going ahead & giving what the users want, least up to a good extent (I would love it if they gave unlocked boot loader & root access too but that might be asking a bit too much!) which most other phone companies aren't really doing yet!

Live with Walkman has also received the Ice Cream Sandwich Update. The update is not over the air so u will have to connect the phone to PC Companion.

my pc companion shows i got the update and when i click update it shows some error and couldn't update...anybody having same problem? plz lemme know what to do

I skip this upgrade as I prefer keeping my phone a SonyEricsson rather than Sony also doesn't want no Sony software on my comp.
Have absolutely no Sony products home exept som SE phones, gonnna keep it that way.
My everyday phone is a HTC Desire HD, doesn't really see way it needs an upgrade to ICS either. As I see it 2.3.x is good enough...

Yea, im from indonesia and i'm already got that update.
its fast, the boot image didn't say sonyericsson anymore, simply "SONY".and camera got an update too and many more. all i wanna say AMAZING SONY!!! LOve SONY for their service. jealous for that, coz i'll never have it on my SG S. :(

But when you will get it I am not so sure but if you are really Excited then you can do it yourself. Just download the firmware and watch the Instructions on Youtube Properly. Cheers

Hi, I am from india..in pc companion it shows ICS update is available bt when checked from update center inside the fne it says that fne has the latest update...whatever, I am managing 3G connection or broadband for my pc so that I can update my fne to ICS..thanks sony..all love and wishes to you.

gsmarena , the update cannot be found in the update center of mini pro's inside update center...the update can be found only from Pc companion or sony bridge for mac

You can check the SI number ( like a batch number) of your phone, which is on a label under the battery cover. For their other models Sony have been posting the SI numbers for which the update is available on their website.
The staggered roll out is partially down to the network providers in various regions who might want to roll out their own crud as part of the update.
I had to wait for about two weeks for the update to become available for my ( original) Neo.
One of the nice things about the update was that I am now able to remove the navigation software that came bundled with my phone thereby freeing up a few megabytes of precious phone memory.
If you've used PC companion recently then it will notify you when the update is available for your phone.

-camera, image processing in taking still image... moreI don't know much about the camera's and video recording but about the transitions you can make it smoother and faster at the developers menu in the settings. I'm using neo V and has using IceCream Sandwich since it was Beta :D I'm really glad that Sony has made the update better every time they upgrade it.
You can always revert back to Gingerbread if you wanted to :)

received the update for my mini pro 2 days ago.. working pretty well.. new features, new feel entire look and feel is awesome. there r few bugs here and there but the main problem is that the games which were working nicely before the update have started to lack its not that good for hardcore gamers but overall its a good package...
