Redmi K20 Pro was available as low as 330 dollar price tag. Realme X2 Pro with insane fast charging is available under 400 dollar price tags. Same with Asus Zenfone 6. No need to get high priced flagships. Wait for price to come down of Poco F2 Pro/Redmi K30 Pro if you care about 5G. Otherwise get the one from above mentioned one. Even One Plus 7T is available as low as 420 dollars. No need to spend too much money for high value flagships. Samsung is feeling heat because of the same and hence Samsung Galaxy S10 lite and Note 10 Lite are born. Samsung just survived due to Huawei not having Google apps. Otherwise it would have been disaster for Samsung. Samsung not doing well with S20 line up.

Extends it's longevity by how much? Prevents battery from using its recharge cycle by how much?
Lol are you going to fall for these marketing techniques.
There is nothing on the hardware level here to prevent battery degradation or charge cycles being used up. Only heat is reduced by keeping charge percentage constant.
          Only software tinkering.

It reduces the heat but also prevents the battery from using up its recharge cycle count by literally not recharging it and extends its longevity. And as I implied in my previous comment, those features are not to be compared to Oppo's fast charging tech, but rather should co-exist so that users can choose in which mode they want to charge their phones during a specific time period/when using certain apps.

So after 3 years the battery still good. And I am running android 10 now because so many custom rom for Redmi Note 4. 3 years of update (yeah I know it is not Official)
And nobody stop using their phone when the phone do not get official update from OEM. It is just iPhone users bragging about it

Your phone will explode, or you will kill your battery after 1 year, just to that you can buy another phone. Oppo is counting on it :)

Besides phones shut off charging after its gone to 100%.
There is no such thing as overcharging in 2020.

AI already manages battery usage including charging protocols.

The HS Feature on Sony is inferior since it freezes charging of the battery to prevent heat and thereby prevent degradation due to heat.
VOOC is way ahead as it doesn't increase Temps much, so you can charge and game at the same time without battery degradation.

Oppo is pioneer in charging tech.
While Sony is simply giving weak workaround solutions.

Can't afford to buy phones that support 30W charger, he/she can buy lower specs phone with cheaper price.

My phone also not support 30W or more charger, but I had satisfied enough the phone supports 20W charger till now.
