iOS 6 goes official with new Maps and Facebook integration

Apple has just announced the iOS 6. It will bring Facebook integration, updated Siri and new Maps app.

    pmsl. ios 6 is the stalest upgrade yet,

    wow new maps and fb intergration! boooooooooooo.

    my gs3 with ics destroys ios 6 into the ground,
    i do like apple as i have a mac and apple tv, but the iphone really is not a great phone anymore.

    plus the (reply with a txt to a call) is a blatent copy from samsung htc phones aswell as the notification bar in android.

    im so glad i jumped ship, i dont think any of the new features in ios 6 are groundbreaking at all, yet they lead people to believe its magical and the most advanced mobile os in the world?

    apple = brainwash company.

    i was watching the keynote again from the first ever iphone announcement 2007 the other day and i can honestly say that there are things mentioned in it that did not come true, it was one massive blag, however its only today when you re watch it that you realise that apple were actually full of sh**.

        This really isnt even a update, a dumb down versions of google maps, some fb intergration and a few other peices of crap >.

It's very easy to do... you can do all of it in iTunes without the need of special software or needing to buy anything. Just search on google.

              I think they were enthusiastically clapping more than 100 times.

              Imagine if the iOS6 brings a lot of REAL new features (and not features that we have since Windows Mobile). Maybe the crowd would have multiple orgasms...

                I think thoug they aren't introducing the last ones because widgets mean a lot of processes running(email, twitter ...)that drain the battery faster and could ruin the mith with iPhone's good battery life. In this phone size isn't room for a larger capacity battery.

                      Apple did it better and thinking about the problems between Apple under Steve Jobs and Facebook, for iOS this could be called a major update too.

                      Speaking about Lumia 900 don't look at your phone as it would be a gold brick. WP7 has it's flaws too, has a lot of limitation(from there the comparison with iOS) and the phone itself it's just a larger Lumia 800 with same ok build quality, slightly higher capacity battery and the same minuses that make it a mediocre choice.

                          Home screen options
                          Icons and app renaming
                          Bluetooth file transfer
                          Widgets
                          File manager (dreaming)
                          Flash (really dreaming)

                          Personally I don't use siri as its more a gimmick for 16 year old kids and there is nothing wrong with Google maps and tomtom. ... The iphone 5 updates better be big apple.

                                Despite being a real android fan with a htc sensation xe - love sense

                                I have to say that apple is really enticing me with this update - I love my iPad I must add.

                                Definitely give them marketing props for the siri button in cars - though I think this should be a PAID optional extra. Would be so annoying if you didn't have an iPhone and had an ugly siri button in your car.

                                      Android 4.0.x still owns. I like a few features of the new iOS, but truth is, an Android rooted will always have a lot more power. Get an SGS2 or SGS3 with Tasker and you can do things iOS never can.
