YUKI93, 17 Jun 2020Being a former Android user who is now using Windows Phone ... moreI loved windows phone, it was my favourite operating system and I used it right up until support was officially ended, I was fully ok with the app gap, there were always work arounds, but windows phone is just not usable today, at this point it's not an app gap, there's just no apps left, only about half of the apps I use daily are actually available on windows phone now, if you are able to actually find all the apps you need I'm actually jealous but you must be using barely anything, and definitely in a very small minority of mobile users that is able to do that. That's not even considering the dated software and hardware that comes with windows phone today. as much as I want windows phone back it's just not possible for 99.99% of people today

Which A... moreDon't be such a fanboy man, it was efficient but faster processors made that advantage irrelevant, the interface was innovative but it was blocky and lifeless, the settings menu was like dumped text and functions were not categorized, quite frankly it never looked a finished product, there were tons of bugs some were never addressed, today's microsoft launcher for android looks far better. Microsoft was going through a dark era no doubt while their CEO and founder was(is) playing mother theresa elsewhere. The one thing it supposedly had was great security sandboxing apps among other measures but it was never marketed as such, total failure from microsoft.

At the moment, I have no problem with the app gap as I have all the essential app that I need for my daily usage.

Even 60$ WP works smoother like 200 300$ Androids of that period. Looks, UI everything was superb. All these dark theming across phone, customisable colors, tiles everything was ahead of time compared to Android at that time period. It lost the momentum. At beginning appa started onboarding to WP but somehow lost it. I loved No other phone than my Nokia Lumia 730. Even after that I waited for Nokia to comeback and tried Nokia 5, 5.1+, now 6.1. yes app collection is rich and pure Android is edge over other Android counterparts but somehow I am not satisfied with these and want back those unique Lumia days.

Windows phone unfortunately long Dead.Windows phone brought nothing new or better to the table, developers didn't get into the platform and wisely stayed with free android, otherwise them developers, the manufacturers and us final users would be now paying fees and licenses to microsoft like in the old days, we are forever safe from them now, Google doesn't respect your privacy very much but respects your wallet which to many is more important.

By being first microsoft wants you to try their concept, it's aimed to be a productivity and multitasking device rather than a media consumption device which the fold can definitely be.
