Asus ROG 3 specs and photos appear in TENAA, AnTuTu run reveals overclocked Snapdragon 865

The new phone is going to be powered by an overclocked Snadpragon 865.

Last year Asus dropped good phone with not so great pricing in the form of Asus Zenfone 6. If pricing would have been little aggressive it could have literally gained a lot of market share and hence fans would have waited for Asus Zenfone 7. But wrong pricing for Zenfone 6 and people opted for One Plus 7T despite Zenfone 6 being better overall phone. Pricing is always keep post this Corona Pandemic.

I'm real glad that I got the RoG Phone II last year. Looks like I'm looking forward for Sony Xperia 1 III next year or the RoG Phone IV the year after that with bringing back the headphone jack.

What I meant is not the graphics quality that are crap, rather the mechanics and the gameplay itself. Same like PUBG Mobile. Lots of child costumes these days and ridden with excessive hackers. Gameplay is nothing special and the game lost rep this year.

      I just want to point out while gaming smartphones are very powerful and has great specs but they are still a bit obsolette for now. Friend with Blackshark 2 only plays those generic games, while it does offer nice gaming performance but that's it.

Add 300 dollars to rest of the components. Anything beyond 750 dollars is DOA. Updates is bit of bummer as well. No need to spend so much of money on smartphones. If you don't care about 5G,then last year's flagship are good as well. You will get good deals on everything. S10 to One Plus 7T all are good products now. S20 hardly selling this year. Waiting for S20 Lite around 600 dollar price mark with snapdragon 865 by the end of the year.

In China/India, Asus ROG 2 was between 400-500 dollars for 6+128 even though stocks were not so good. I guess it was same condition in US.

I've just looked on the ROG phone 3 specs on TENAA's website and its weighing in at 240G, the exact same as Rog 2. Though a 200mah battery capacity isn't a big difference between the ROG 2 and 3, I was expecting a few grams being knocked off . Personally I think they should've kept it at 120hz cuz atm 144hz is useless, UNLESS tencent and Asus announces a partnership which allows Pubg and cod mobile to be played at 144hz. But I can't see that happening

                          Looks like Asus learned from JerryRigEverything that the vent does nothing so they made the phone look more mainstream. I hope they keep the 2nd USB-C port, DAC powered headphone jack and enhance the two speakers a bit more. I hope next year's RoG Phone IV will be miles better enough to replace my RoG Phone 2.

                          Oh yeah, keep the radio. It's completely useful for my travels.

Either way SD 8x series are power and battery efficient . So if ROG have an optimised UI (which ROG UI 2 was) combine a efficient SOC with a good UI then a slightly battery decrease isn't going to make a huge impact

                                      Really curious why the LQw guy says it has notch lol.

                                        Surprised, the design is like a typical normal phone. No over edgy "gaming" design like previous ROG phones or Black Shark.
