This is a way for them to make better devices that clearly differentiate themselves from the competition whether looking in Windows Phone itself or the whole market. You're being too short sighted.

Apple has no place in the competition for all mobile phones since they don't produce feature phones at all. Nokia shipped 417 MILLION phones in Q4/2011, Apple shipped 93,2 million. Samsung passed Nokia as the largest manufacturer in early 2012.

OMG...Nokia again, going in the wrong direction...can someone give them a map so they can go in the right way....who cares about how good your camera is on your mobile. A phone is only as good as it's apps and the Ovi store is a very distant 3rd....Come'on Nokia lets get it together!!!

Your comparing a 2 year phone to what's out right now?? Even though the N8 was a good phone it wasen't the best phone out there in it's time. 808 Pureview on the other hand will make the most sales of any Nokia smartphone.

I'd rather have a bit slower browser on a N8 ( I currently have Galaxy S i9000,and in the past I had : Xperia Arc , Xperia Mini ST-15i,Optimus 2X,and some other Androids , but I also had Lumia 800 , Nokia N9 , Nokia N82 , X6 )then plastic Android phones that feel cheap in comparison to some of Nokia's cheaper phones . When an Android phone gets a Xenon flash I'll borrow money to buy it . But I am still convinced that Nokia will have better optimization of their OS (whatever it may be in future) then Android . . . I hope they wake up and realize that Symbian is the best of the best and don't abandon it .

My n8 has a 12mp camera, USB OTG, Fm transmitter, Hdmi out, aluminum casing and the battery lasts 2-3 days with decent use. It's an ancient phone these days and is still better than the new stuff coming out. Yes people want all the new innovations but they also want a phone that will last the day, which samsung and apple cannot provide.
