Omg! Having Scalado's apps deeply integrated to Nokia's technology, a really nice move from Nokia :D
Not a Nokia fanboy or anything, but Nokia is really great :)

IMO. Doesn't matter what Nokia plans or does acquire because they just don't have that optimistic of a goal to really compete, let alone survive in the smartphone market of today or the future. They will come out with some amazing gadgets and innovations but Apple and Samsung will always be more than 10 steps ahead. People don't care as much for minimalism or efficiency, they want an improvement, experience, and more ways to interact. The Amazing and Versatile Multipurpose Innovation Tool, the android.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2012It's not how many cores or how high is the clockspeed your ... moreWhen they killed Symbian and MeeGo and the final insult in the form of Nokia 808 PureView not being marketed/sold properly, I stopped believing.
It's all lies and deceit now, the CEO himself leading the pack of wolves that would devour Nokia in favor of its Redmond masters.
Did you know that they only release 300 units of Nokia 808PV in Malaysia, 20 in Egypt and 50 in the Philippines? And that it is a restricted release, not even on display and you'd have to ask the salesperson for it SPECIFICALLY as if it were contraband/illegal units? YMMV but I've seen this rampant in Nokia Stores, these units are EXCLUSIVELY SOLD only in Nokia only stores. The other dealers are restricted from selling nor carrying Nokia 808 PV.
This is plain stupid.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2012It's not how many cores or how high is the clockspeed your ... moreYou are comparing a Porche(=GS2) and a Toyota(=N86). Porche is meant to be for enthusiastic drivers who look for a performance and driving pleasure. Sure, it indeed consumes more fuels(=battery) and maybe lacks reliability a bit, but that's what you are getting for a sports car.
On the other hand, Toyota is for ones who want something that gets you A to B. Cheap, but a little bit more reliable. Consumes less fuels(=battery).

RVM, 14 Jun 2012Nokia still has around 4.5 mld. € net cash reserves.I'm sure whether it is $4.5 million or €4.5 million, but that doesn't matter. Either way, that's a disappointing amount of cash, considering Nokia's revenue which is somewhat €38 billion.
I honestly don't think Nokia has that amount of cash in their pocket after they posted €-1.1 billion net loss.

what lol, 14 Jun 2012nokia is irrelevant these days. It doesn thave one high end... moreIt's not how many cores or how high is the clockspeed your phone have, it's how effective and efficient it is judging by its overall performance. What's the use of multiple cores if you still have multiple crashes. My single core 434 mghz 128mb ram old nokia N86 is more stable in contrast to my "superior" GS2 that sometimes crashes.. U know what i mean.

nokia is irrelevant these days. It doesn thave one high end phone. Noone cares about stupid live tiles, its booring and ugly, nobody wants to be told how to use the phone: no mass storrage, no dual cores, no quad cores, go controller pairing, no bluetooth transfer, no nothing. Totaly ignores what people want. And it shows cause people chose galaxy xperia lg htc over nokia. Not to mention wp is just a booring uncustomizable pos compared to android.

AnonD-26870, 14 Jun 2012Nokia sold Vertu, I think it has.Vertu is sold at a bargain price considering the amount of capitals that Nokia invested.
Plus, Nokia posted a massive loss at the last quarter and this was after they sold 2 millions of Lumia series.

I think, it's just a matter of time, and we we hear about nokia entering camera market. With all the experience and PureView technology, with Carl Zeiss cooperation, nokia could make mind blowing enthusiast digital camera.

Since one main feature of the new BB OS 10 camera app is somehow similar to Scalado Rewind I dont's see RIM that great on the market:
- Well we(RIM) have a supernewcool unseen feature on our newest RIM to help us from sinking!
- Yeah, and Nokia implemented something similar on a camera 10 times better...

We all know Nokia doesn't have cash to buy Scalado, but...you know who is behind this. It's obvious - M$.
M$ is a puppet master and it's pulling the strings.
