Nokia to lay off 10,000 employees, sacks three key executives

The lay-offs are a result of the closing of three factories in Canada, Germany and Finland.

They had the most beautiful phone and operating system the world had ever seen. Nokia should be re-named the Muppet Show.

          Very sad indeed. If only true nokia lovers could run the company. The first person out the door would be Elop with his WP7 nonsense. Symbian for mid tier and Meego for high end would have been a killer combo

              looks like the lumias are selling well and so are other nokia handsets or maybe not:-)Nokia is doomed and mark my words samsung WILL buy them out by the end of the year and hopefully dump the rubbish wp7 and give people android.All the fanboys who say no to this havent got a clue.The facts are they wouldn't be in this mess if they had.I for one would gladly buy a nokia phone if it had android on it.I miss how innovative nokia used to be and had to move to samsung as they didn't give.me or most consumers what they want.Its such a shame but it might be time for elop to rectify his mistake or its goodnight nokia.Such a shame.

                        Had nokia adopted android and released them on their solid hardware they wouldn't have to face this crisis. :-(
