nokia i hv a free advise for u.just leave symbian and go with android.and start releasing smartphones with 4.3 or 4.5 inches with 8 or 9 mm width.people dont care about 41mp camera.they care about OS and look.u keep releasing fatty phones like n8 or n9(yes they are fatty as compared to htc one x or s2 or s3 and ur sets have symbian.)just follow my advice and u will lock again

No Android no hire for Nokia. It's sad to see some company going down just because a very persistent to not going for an obvious choice.

It's not about Nokia... it's about Microsoft !
If Nokia will go... it will go... but MS it's now entered in the game, and it will be manufactured by other brads...
Did you heard of Windows Phone before Nokia spoke about getting into business with MS?? ... not so much......0.01 %????
It's free publicity for MS, they don't care about Nokia , they care about selling a product to an expanding market, as Smartphones and Tablets market increase... and it's taking from PC market, they had to do something...
They manage somehow to run Nokia from inside, so they can sell Microsoft products....
They announced long before they had the product...and they even say... stop buy Symbian ....prepare for WP....this move was listened partially by the customer... they stop buying Symbian... and... a part of them bought WP, but others have gone to competitors...
It's not about Nokia... it's about Microsoft !

nokia is right to close factories and lay people in western countries for now. makes no sense because the world economy is getting bad and in Western countires inflation is getting a bit too heavy for the cost operations. By later openning in Asian countries which Nokia will eventually do, it will be able to meet any demand should they arise.

In either case they would have been better of offering android as their main option and windows or meego as the other, symbian is not bad now as a touch screen OS like it was originally, but it will never sell in big numbers as a premium OS again.
