people are buying phones based from its spec sheet nowadays. today is the day when number of cores, cpu speed and GPU are more important. android will rule the future of mobile OS like windows rules the PC scene. other ecosystem would not evolved like the Linux in the PC world except for Apple with their IOS and OSX. So for me the way forward for Nokia is to bring more CPU speed and number of cores at lower price to all segments like what samsung did to android.

            I uses Symbian & Android.
What Symbian lacked from Android is HD screen. Symbian Belle already has many features. While iOS and Android needs client application to access cloud storage, Symbian supports WebDav access since long time ago.

Nokia now is like watching a car crashing in slow motion video .. what makes me crazy is that the driver intentionally hits the car and destroy it .. This is the great Stephan Elop.

I can simply say that Nokia will die, and the only one responsible is the Finns because they give their country's flag ship to MS bastard.. Elop.
Finns you deserve that, but we (Nokia Fans) never deserve losing our dreamy brand.. I hate you both.

nokia's reputation is down to the floor now mostly the lacks of apps and the non-excisting of an all-in-one superphone to bring their reputation again. Now if I tell a friend I will buy a Nokia or recommend him to buy a Nokia whatever the price is or the OS running in it he will tell me "WHAT NOKIA???? R U SERIOUS???"
sad to see a company being killed by just some idiots at the BoD :(

get used to some good habits like: not being too traditionally, selling goods with high wealth/price, being flexible with multi OS for a product (Symbian+WP+Android+Meltemi+...), wisely getting rid of restricting copyright of some brands like WP + zune + ... and replacing them by open source programs else having them updated and getting the best in the market, ...
i know that NOKIA worth a lot! neither less than Samsung, nor SONY ! please keep trying to save the industry NOKIA !

i think Nokia better not killing Symbian,
and make Symbian an OS for low level / budget handsets, instead of S40.

Because angry bird only available for s^3, anna, and belle, cause the angry bird's develepor doesn't make it available to s60v5. Even if the angry bird for s^3, anna, and belle have the same extension as s60v5.

Some Possible Reason Why People Leaving Nokia:

                              1. Nokia looses the Premium brand image.. Nokia used to have that, having the N series phone, with Powerful Camera and Navigation, And NGAGE for GAming All other phone in the market lost when come to this.

To tackle this, Nokia need to come out with a phone that is more capable than Android and IOS! with feature that Nokia only have which every1 dreams!

                              2. Nokia lack of Application? IOS and Android made ppl think that more apps is a better OS.

Nokia have a lot of positive feature on the phone itself which i acknowledge of.
                              1. HDMI
                              2. NFC
                              3. USB OTG
                              4. Navigation
                              5. MS Office
                              6. Good Battery Performance
                              7. Clear Black Screen Technology
                              8. Polycarbonate body
                              9. PureView Imaging technology

Hopefully Nokia will come out solution to those 2 issue mentioned in short time. :D

Perhaps Nokia Windows Appolo will do that. Nokia will need to put serious focus on Gaming. It's 1 that really give BIG Influence on what is a Powerful phone is.

Symbian has already lost the race... Now ppl dont buy phones even without trying when they hear symbian. App developers have moved out of symbian n focussing more on Android/IOS/WP
So how can one expect nokia to continue with Symbian??
Wrt meltimi nokia never made any announcement that they ll release a phone... I think they have got codes, patents from that os n launched a touch version of s40 device.. Nokia had purchased meltimi, smarter os etc just for patent rights n codes.

elop said no reply about meltemi as they didn't officially announce it
and that's quite logic, why the hell he would say about something nokia didn't announce
i think this goes the same way when all people said carla is cancelled ,and turned out it 's actually fp1 in disguise

there's nothing wrong with symbian, maemo, meego, meltemi, s40 or s30, they just need to developing n evolving. The most wrong thing is ELOP with his 3 brothers
stephen ELOP, wrong person in d wrong place n d wrong time.
                                    stephen DROP, droping symbian,meego,etc.
stephen BLOB, too many words, too tiny results.
stephen FLOP, you know this one, the time will show us( i hope so)

elop made many nokia user disappointed. I can't see that the budget nokia wp can compete with other phone. Cause their budget wp phone still expensive and has many problem like unsupport app. Even they fix it soon. Cause the information already got around world.

With that big mouth of Elop, he can swallow the Nokia N900 with the slider open.. LMAO.. XD

Kidding aside, I'm a Loyal Nokia user.. Recently, I bought a Nokia C5-06 over the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Mini because I so love Symbian... I'm so happy with it because I can do whatever I want in that phone; Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Playng games, Videos, etc. I just don't get it why it can't support Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja.. is it because of the 600mhz? Asha 303 can run it so why can't Symbian^1.? :'(

Regarding this issue of Meltemi, I'm really waiting for this since the rumor starts I think last year if I'm not mistaken. I badly want a Nokia N9 but it's too Pricey! My last hope to taste MeeGo is in Meltemi form but now that they said that they won't continue the project(I think all of Nokia Fans including me have been waiting for) for Meltemi, I think more fans will look for other Brands/OS. BUT ME, I WON'T.. I So Love Nokia.. Its just too sad to think that Maemo, MeeGo, and Meltemi are thrown away so easily by Stupid Elop...

                                        Good-luck Nokia.. :')
(I'm looking forward to buy a Nokia Lumia 800 Cyan anyway) ^_^
