I had been through this complete experience and for sure its hard to resist. i rooted my galaxy note n7000 with ics 4.04 installed by using an apk software called Exynos abuse v 1.5 after rooting i downloaded the new jellybean rom from xda that is considered to be the best in this world for galaxy note by the xda developers but please please dont do it its a dummy ram with a lot of basic galaxy note functions missing and you will find a bug everytime you do something new with your mobile. after downloading the zip file of 700 mb i unzipped it and then used odin to flash my mobile using pc. aftervrealising that xda is far far behind the samsung developers i was stuck in a situation where i decided to sale my note. finally i had to remove the xda jb and revert back to origibal stock rom 2.3 gingerbread working best. i believe gingerbread is best suoted to this note one. if you want any further detail of how i did all that please email me at ziaulhaqabbasi@gmail.com

So, let's get one thing clear:

If you have an official stock ROM on your Galaxy S2, and decide to flash a new official stock version (either via Kies/OTA or Odin), is it safe to do it? For example, flashing an official ICS stock ROM (downloaded from SamMobile) via Odin.

I have hard bricked Galaxy Note GT-N7000... It was under 4.0.4 ICS offical from Samsung.. I tried to install the other rom when it got hard-bricked.. So there shouldn't be problem with service and fixing? BTW it is already at service...

            My regards, Nedzad :)

I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 (SGH-I777) and I'm using AOKP 7.3.2012. I would like to try cMIUI but I'm affraid to hardbrick my phone when I'll wipe/data. Do somebody knows if it is safe to wipe using AOKP kernel? Any recommendation is very welcome.

              Moe

if in any doubt, use pc odin to go back to GB, or use abyss kernal and restart recovery.
