Flashback: the iPhone SE was a true mini-flagship and it is still relevant today

28 June 2020
Four years later it is set to receive its fifth major OS update. And it was truly small, not like some of today's phones that try to pass off as petite.

Very good read. I am using an iPhone SE original and an iPhone XS . Must say iPhone SE is equally fast for performing basic functions including web browsing..

Almost in tears. My first iPhone was the 4S. Pitch black. Had to trade it in favour of a 4G phone. Still regret it. It was a beautiful piece. If Apple could get something of that size, put 4G in it, with a A10/A11 Chipset and a decent camera like that of SE/7 I'd buy it. Since the 4S I had bought the SE 2016 and from SE directly upgraded to XR which was overwhelming. But the comfort of using the 4S is unparalleled.

For an iphone yes. Overall no.

My friend asked me "Why do you still use that phone?, too tiny, the screen is too small".. well I just said "If you want to get bigger screen, use tablet. I only want the phone that fit with my pocket, not a crazy screen"

            Galaxy S20 is great.

              I dislike it.

I've been an SE user since 2018 and the phone is still quite snappy, the battery life since the iOS 13 update is poor and I think it is mostly connected to the poor software optimization. I can hardly wait for the iOS 14, hoping for a bit better battery life than currently.

Still have it!! I loved that iPhone! Battery won't last but it worth every cent when I bought it!

The SE2 brings XR camera. Better if it can carry one from 11.

I bought one used about a year ago to have a fully-featured, truly small smartphone for those moments where you want to have all the functionality with you, but dont expect you'll use it much. Now I'm going to get the latest version of iOS with widgets, so I'm a happy camper.

Defenders of LG Velvet said that the Endurance rating is just the entire standby time. Active times like 3G/4G talk time, YouTube usage or etc. matters more than just that number. Wake up.

It shouldn't be relevant in 2020 at all. The SE 2 has an endurance rating of 59h - worse than the original.

I don't know why people bought it to be honest. The iPhones released at the same time were better in every way. I guess people bought it because it was the cheapest iPhone at the time.
