Great handset. Still use mine as a daily driver and cannot complain. Still getting updates to this day.
I miss the days of 4 inch screens and handling with one hand can reach all the corners without dislocating a finger

2020 and I am still using my SE. It’s small enough to fit any pocket, has an earphone jack and works exceptionally well!

i really agree with this. as much as i want to replace my se . its still fast and smooth. still receiving updates. although the battery have depreciat already. but its still tolerable. and it fit just right in my hand.

By your l... moreThere's nothing wrong with updating software but complaining about not having the latest or completely choosing an inferior product just because it has better update support (iPhone SE or Google Pixel 4 vs the competition) is just ridiculous. If you care about updates so much buy a Pixel or iPhone and be done with it. Not every OEM needs to focus on updates because that means they would have to devote less resources to hardware/specs/battery/etc. Many times updates can break a phone (iOS 13 debacle) and then companies have push out more updates to fix the bugs from the last one so it becomes a self-made problem. I'd rather have a phone that runs very well with few updates than a phone that gets constant updates because it keeps trying to fix the bugs from the last update.

No software is perfect from the beginning, is the same as the car. You have some problems in a particular new model, they recall it to service to fix that problem. Is what normal people do.
With Android phones is the other way around. Almost all of my past phones (and I had a lot of Android phones) were very good at the time of purchase (because I did a lot of research before buying a particular model). Going forward 3, 6 months, until the first major update hit the phone and immediately problems started. Not all my phones true, but with many of them I have issues after first major updates.
That is why I don't trust Android phones when it comes to software updates. It's a lottery. I even had times when I didn't update to the latest software because I was afraid it will break my phone. Then what is the purpose of using a phone, if you can't even have the latest software on it?
For people who are not interested in latest software, buy a Nokia 3310 or something. But don't criticize other people who want the latest software on their devices.

The problem is pricing in my country. SE (2020) is available here for 472$ (64gb), whereas IPhone 8 plus (128gb) and XR (128gb) both are available for the same price 555$.
Why would anyone go for SE then.

"People" are jumping on the Pixel for looking old? Who's people? I've never seen anyone say that. The Pixel looks good and everyone I see says the same. In fact, they have called it the best looking Pixel Phone so far.

I just fired up an old Android 4.4 phone in front of me and there are lots of app that I couldn't use, all if them have your Android is not suported message. Also OS upgrade is not all about features, security update is very important also.

If bigger phones were better for everyone then consumers wouldn't be buying 4.7 inch iPhones for years knowing that there are bigger options available. It's clear that some people still prefer the smaller form factor or a company as money-hungry as Apple would have given up on small phones that don't bring in any money.
