Flashback: the iPhone SE was a true mini-flagship and it is still relevant today

28 June 2020
Four years later it is set to receive its fifth major OS update. And it was truly small, not like some of today's phones that try to pass off as petite.

So many people miss the point that this article tries to do. The SE is a true mini flagship for those who like a small phone. People who like small phones don’t care if it’s too small to watch a movie or play games. What they care about is to have a small phone that it is still a flagship. The SE is the only one!

IOS is usually released with tons of bugs that Apple keeps fixing for the latter 6 months after launch.
Not going to buy half baked product especially when spending 1500 dollars And Apple updates are just them catching up with features present on 5 year old Android phones.

Heck even texting and typing using a keyboard on tiny 4.7 inch screen is cumbersome for most users.

But iPhone users are accustomed to having zero choices.
They pretty much accept what their Master serves them.

He is very happy with it. He had the A5 2017 cracked from both sides and he said the size is perfect so I chose the S10e which is has the same dimensions with a larger screen.

Nobody wants small phones. I have large hands. Do you have small hands. You are a loser" kind of trash. You're right about the S10e. However the fact that there is no S20e points to the fact that the S10e didn't do anything for Samsung. Even the A20e and A40 didn't do much as I don't see a successor. I hope I am wrong and phones (not shovels) return.

But I am borderline desperate for a phone that's compact. And the way the S10e went, I am not too hopeful. I doubt the 5.4 iPhone will make Android OEMs venture into making compact phones. Because Android only copies the worst things from Apple and leaves the good things alone.

Was interested in the SE. But terrible battery life. However I know three individuals (who don't know each other) who have various iphones with terrible battery life. They accept it's not the best endurance, but they don't want or need more battery than what they have.

The new iWatch doesn't work unless you have iOS 13 on your phone. That is less of an issue for Android. Apps on Android tend to work regardless of which version you're on.

They work and I don't do rocket science. Updates are there to take your money. It is a business that doesn't do real innovation so their business model is updates. Oh, you have phone with old Android, throw it and buy and new one ... Apple doesn't do that because you already paid 2-3 times more for the iphone.

What I find most fascinating about this article, is the fact that you're completely willing to overlook the obvious fact that it literally looks like a device from 2014. But yet, people want to jump all over the new pixel for looking "dated" because it has a forehead, which houses more hardware than any device currently available.
