You're implying that they would never make it to third place, while the "current" third place of Nokia/RIM is declining fast! Duh.

Please wait for the Q2 result. You're already throwing foul words.

Ha, name me that anything that Sony achieved in the telecommunication industry.

                the rest is dead.
nokia while beign great is now being bankrupted live by a trojan horse from microsoft. i mean once samsung starts shipping wp line of phones nokia can officially close the shop.

sony is a company that hates its customers and rather then create open devices, sues their customers. i dont want anything to do with a company like that. apple should learn from sonys fate but who am i kidding, they wont. company that relies on lawyers for business will sooner or later fold as they will start loosing money because of layers

htc were once the smartfone company, but their technical issues last year or two are too much, so customers will be turning away and many already are

rim will go out of business soon, only to be saved by us government as most of us government and business uses their services, so the servers must stay

combine this with fact that all these companies are living large, and you will see a slow and long dying process

"Only Samsung and Sony experienced sequential growth in global shipments from the previous quarter, while Nokia saw a 40 percent drop, bringing it closer to RIM, which saw a 20 percent decline. Analysts see a grim outlook for Nokia this year. The company is set to cut 10,000 jobs and has sold its Vertu division of luxury handsets."

[deleted post]Their number ONE edge is the brand name and logo itself. That's the driving force of their sales. And software simplicity follows.

And the real winner is... Samsuck. Thanks to Apple (and it's own efforts and whatsoever) Samsuck become an industrial behemoth and it's market share in the components market will only increase with time.
