andryon, 01 Jul 2020You are rightonly reason why those brands are cheaper is because they don't have r&d costs. they get it all from the europeans and americans.
nokia is a classic example of a once amazing company that rarely (if at all) copied anything - so much so that they lost the smartphone race. if they were as shameless as the chinese, they would be in a better position today.

Hilmawan, 01 Jul 2020Not true at all Samsung M and A series phones still not as ... morenaturally. chinese companies get the manufacturing blueprints from all foreign companies that do actual r&d work. they simply duplicate these and repackage them into local patents for the semblance of legality.
that is why they are able to keep costs cheaper - because there is no r&d invovled. however, comments like this are removed by gsmarena because 'oh, how dare you scold china!'.
look at the new hong kong treaty they've written up. they are basically saying any body from any nationality in any part of the world can be arrested by the chinese if they say anything against china about the hong kong issue. nice!

It’s in effect in India when they blocked these apps.
Indian government is not fooling around, they have asked the network service providers to block the traffic on these apps.
It’s time to boost your limited knowledge

Hilmawan, 01 Jul 2020Not true at all Samsung M and A series phones still not as ... moreThis Is The Thing Where Many Stop To Think Much. The Price Vs Specification Is Not Always The Truth,It Is The Quality. If You Don't Believe Then A Samsung, iPhone With Same Specs Like A Low-priced Chinese Smartphone Will Give You A Better Usage Experience. And Also The Manufacturing Facilities Are Going To Grow Very Much In India In Coming Time So The Price Will Gradually Decrease Giving A Good Specification Phone At A Right Price. And Also Chinese Phones If Not This Way Then Other Way(Like You May Have Heard Of Advertisement In An Operating System For The First Time From Xiaomi Only, and the Privacy Concern Of Them Is Also A Price Cutting Measure Of Them).

Anonymous, 01 Jul 2020Not The Case Anymore. And Also Samsung Has New M & A Ser... moreNot true at all Samsung M and A series phones still not as good as Chinese phones with similar price for example on flipkart Samsung A21s are sold at ₹16,499 for the 4GB / 64GB version but the Chinese phones with similar price are significantly better and you can even get Chinese phones with flagship specs and features at the price of Samsung upper mid-range phone.
Chinese brands also provide other high-tech products that are cheaper than non-Chinese brands from smartwatch/band, TWS to Smart TV.
Of course Korean products and other countries can be an alternative but many Indian people will be forced to use products that are not as good as Chinese products because there are still many Indians who have limited income.

Hello Life, 01 Jul 2020Yes we have to start somewhere. first the Software, then th... moreAre you sure that Micromax and Intex are Indian brands? When did they manufacture a phone? They simply picked chinese phones, rebranded and sold for more price. In the name of Indian companies, these companies simply cheated Indians. Chinese companies like xiomi, oneplus are far more honest than these so called Indian fraud companies. Yes, those chinese companies steal data but a lower middle class person doesn't have any such private data to hide. But the lower middle class person deserves all smartphone features that these companies claim to provide on paper but Indian companies don't bother to remain honest in that matter

MrPong, 01 Jul 2020India has its small phone brands such as Infinix and Lava. ... moreSadly, indian companies believe in robbing than in doing business honestly. Companies Lava (barring xolo x900), Micromax claim to be Indians but they sell chinese phones with zero after sales services. When Indians don't love their country, why to blame outsiders. When outsiders provide better quality and customer satisfaction than Indian companies, outsiders can't be blamed. Chinese companies provide the quality at affordable price. But at the same price, Lava, Micromax simply rob people with rebranded phones and pathetic services. At least chinese companies make the phones. Indians simply cheat fellow Indians

In the last 15 days, I sold my Redmi Note 7 and purchased a Samsung A10s, I stopped using my Chinese branded fitness watch, I have uninstalled all Chinese apps on all my mobiles.
India is not a rich country like USA where people can afford to burn products and make YouTube videos. So I have 2 more Chinese phones (Redmi) I will surely get rid off in the next 4-6 months.
Also in the future no more Chinese products. In fact I have been searching for a hair trimmer for last one month and have still not made a purchase as all trimmers are China made.
This is what one Indian who feels anguished at the loss of 20 lives can do. Imagine how many families like mine will do the same in the coming 1 year. Chinese mobile market in India is finished.

Aniket-kew, 30 Jun 2020so you're saying that none of the US company or apps, even ... moreSo what if Google is spying on us?!
What exactly do you have to hide there mister? Should we call up the feds to investigate you?
If you don't have anything to hide, why worry so much about it?
You seem 100 times more dubious for this reason alone!
Oh, I forgot.. Everyone thinks they're the most important person in the world..
Newsflash sugarttz, nobody knows you even exist, so lay off the commy propaganda and open up a history book.
I'm from EU and I don't care one bit that Google or whatever us gov agency is spying on me. Why? Because I don't have anything to hide.
Meanwhile china is working kids to death and ruining the whole global economy by taking everyone's else's jobs. Not to mention the pollution, brainwashing camps for minorities, human wrights breaches etc.
You're acting like a millennial with a very low iq.
Go to a real school before you embrace yourself even more!

Apple even refused to assist the FBI in unlocking the iPhone of the terrorists in California.

Djnady99, 01 Jul 2020India only has 4 OR 5 Companies which are not owned by chin... moreI recently bought a Samsung M31 for my father to replace his Redmi K20 (which I had bought for him on launch date after a lot of time convincing him and I still consider it one of the best devices ever made). The current scenario has made him reopen his distrust for Chinese products which was never fully convinced to use in the first place. While he is upset about the lack of underscreen fingerprint sensor, he is happy with the device. His use case is not impacted by having a 'much faster' processor as all his apps load quickly for him. Modern processors even the pathetic Exynos 9611 are good enough for most internet and app use case and 6gb RAM is more than enough. Only heavy users, enthusiasts (like people here) and gamers would really care about owning the fastest device.
We Indians have the tendency to go for maximum performance/cost ratio. And beyond the few apple sheep, we are quite brand agnostic. We can invest the time to read reviews/opinions, compare features and put in the effort to buy the best thing for their money. And this is the reason why most do not buy expensive smartphones because they understand the low of diminishing returns. If the government bans Chinese brands, it will not impact the market a lot as they will then buy the next best thing. LG and Asus will be more than happy to join in for the biggest market in the world (they already have tremendous presence in all spheres here)
We might also see resurgence of brands like Acer and Panasonic, and maybe Japanese brands like sharp would enter the fray. Indian market is so big and impactful from the sheer size of the population that every brand would want to rush in to have a piece and that competition and Indian buyer's nature would force them to compete for lower prices. (As we have seen from the numerous Chinese brands and Realme's rise)
