Anyway, SD865+ isn't going to be any pricier than the regular 865 SoC if not cheaper(comparing 865's launched price). It's basically almost the same CPU and GPU with clock boost.

Why smartphone makers make stupid decisions...opting for 144hz display has no advantanges for gaming since sd865 processors are capable of rendering 60 to 80 fps in games...I don't know why they are called gaming phones...bcaz iphones simply thrash the competition with their A series chipset...they can easily render 120 fps games....next one ..I mean a14 chipset can render 140 fps games..they only are capable of advertising 144 hz displays

potato4k, 08 Jul 2020*yawn So basically just the 855 overclocked a bit. Wrong. A77 cores are an upgrade. And while the gpu is not a huge step it's welcome. Especially combined with the improved cpu. Among all the other little things Qualcomm does in there.
Plus put into these gaming phones means sustained performance.

Only a gaming phone deserves that SoC...
Simply overkill for someone who is only going to use there phone for whatsapp or Facebook...
